Director, Project Management - SaaS

Position Summary:

QuartzBio team is looking for a Director, Project Management (QuartzBio) to oversee the planning and execution of projects for the implementation of QuartzBio’s Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions across our portfolio and to develop and implement processes and best practices for project management for a SaaS business.

The Director of Project Management will lead a team of project managers and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations.

QuartzBio is a data and information management SaaS company that transforms sample and biomarker data to accelerate and power drug development in the life sciences industry. Our AI-powered, Biomarker Intelligence Platform, enables precision medicine at scale.

As the Director, Project Management (QuartzBio), you will have a pivotal role in delivering our industry leading SaaS solutions.

 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Lead and manage staff in keeping with expressed objectives and corporate culture, and in doing so provide a workplace where ideas are sought and considered, initiative is encouraged, success is rewarded, and employees are treated fairly, with respect and recognition.
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to enhance project delivery and efficiency in the context of a SaaS business.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align project goals with business objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software implementations, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Contribute to the design and use of project management tools, task management tools, and other internal systems to track project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, expectations, and feedback, and ensure the project management team is operating proactively to manage customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure effective communication and information sharing with customers, senior leadership, and other stakeholders across the QuartzBio business.
  • Provide project management support on accounts as needed in areas such as creation of project schedules, customer presentations, status reports, or other deliverables.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience in project management or related field operating in a software or software as a service organization.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing teams.
  • Proven ability to operate in a customer-facing role.
  • Proven leadership and strategic impact.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency for preparing and presenting business cases, both orally and in writing.
  • Skill in presenting well-organized and convincing information that is clear and efficient and can be understood by all audiences.
  • Excellent focus on customers, peers, and key vendor relationships to ensure expectations are met.
  • Ability to establish structures and processes to plan and manage the orderly implementation of change.
  • Good working knowledge of metrics to forecast project cost, schedule, effort, and quality.

Other Required:

  • Must have senior level strategically focused operational and management experience in a similar industry
  • All aspects of highly developed interpersonal, communication and management skills are required
  • Proven experience managing and/or overseeing management of multiple projects simultaneously is a requirement
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrix environment to achieve results from diverse working teams
  • Experience managing within financial budgets and agreed timelines
  • Confidentiality, excellent use of judgment and discretion required relative to sensitive and restricted Company and employee information.
  • Must possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must have experience with software used in project management, preferably SmartSheets and Jira.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive in  
  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight stays
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

Preferred:

  • Work experience and academic studies in the areas of translational medicine, clinical trials or drug development or a related discipline.

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

$153,458 - $230,188 USD
