THE ROLE
Senior Research Associate – Analytical Development
We are looking to expand our Analytical Development team. The individual will work closely with the Analytical MSAT team while participating in the effective running of daily operations in the Analytical Development Team. The individual will contribute to the analytical development of molecular biology based assays to help to develop our CAR-Treg therapies.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to contribute to a key part of our work. Quell offers an exciting and highly dynamic environment focused on developing cutting-edge Treg therapies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct experiments independently and share data in cross-functional meetings.
- Understand goals and contribute to well-defined scientific projects with the input of idea for experimental design.
- Provide analytical testing via PCR across a range of projects including method qualification and validation.
- Support routine PCR testing of PD samples.
- Support material stability and variability studies.
- Support material management within the laboratory including inventory management and material location organisation.
- Maintain highly organised and detailed documentation and establish relevant SOPs.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum BSc degree with 2+ years or MSc degree with 1+ years of related experience
- Demonstratable expertise in analytical techniques including qPCR and dPCR.
- A good fundamental understanding in the background of molecular biology.
- Demonstratable experience in method qualification.
- Excellent time management and prioritising skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An understanding of immunology and cell therapy.
- Ability to work independently once trained in the relevant analytically technique.
- Experience writing scope of work, SOPs and study reports.
