Position

The Manager, Applications Engineering position offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about applying their technical and management experiences to enhance educational programs and contribute to the growth of a far-reaching entrepreneurial social venture. Reporting to the Managing Director of Data & Engineering, this person will manage projects and people, and execute on operations and initiatives, often working across multiple teams at QuestBridge.

Our Manager, Applications Engineering will have the opportunity to collaborate with program, data, and engineering team members across other departments for thought partnership, feedback, and growth. This position requires a strong focus on rigor, communication, project management, and systems-thinking. Responsibilities

Success in this role is defined by achieving the following:

• Manage and support current and new software applications used to improve the operation of
  all of our teams at QuestBridge in our work with students, partners, and educators
• Collaborate across all QuestBridge teams to identify opportunities for automation
  and more efficient use of technology in operations
• Manage relationship between IT support provider and team members
• Manage network server services provided by IT support provider
• Manage the training of staff on software applications
• Strong belief in the goals and mission of QuestBridge
• Exceptional attention to detail, but able to maintain focus on larger picture
• Strong work ethic, with intense drive to reach goals and contribute to the success
  of the organization
• Entrepreneurial, creative, dynamic
• Energized by working with a revenue-generating social venture in an expansion phase
• Travel at least 2-4 times per year for internal and external organizational events.
• Support other organizational projects, tasks, and goals as needed and as assigned.
• With all other QuestBridge staff, annually read and evaluate student applications for National College Match, College Prep Scholars Program, and other opportunities.
  

   

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, quantitative field or equivalent experience.  MS preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience and 3 years in a management role
• Demonstrated experience working in a centralized role that requires collaboration with many teams across a given organization
• Demonstrated experience with Python and SQL
• Experience using CRM platforms and applications preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with ability to maintain focus on the larger picture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish (organizing bandwidth, workflows, and multiple deliverables for on-time delivery) in a fast-paced environment

Salary

$154,000-$185,000

Hours and Location

This is a full-time position remote within the US. Employees will be expected to travel at least 2-4 times per year for internal and external organizational events.
