Overview of the Role
The Director of International Growth will be responsible for driving the acceleration of QuillBot’s expansion into international markets, especially non-English-speaking ones, identifying high-potential regions, and leading data-driven go-to-market strategies. This role will lead the international growth team and pilot the internationalization model to enable data-driven market expansion prioritization at the country and language level. It includes driving a multi-market strategy execution, localization, multilingual optimization, and market entry decisions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in driving international marketing, growth strategy, and customer insights to increase QuillBot’s presence globally.
Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion Strategy: Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive international growth strategy based on a data-driven country and language model to drive user acquisition, engagement, and monetization in new and existing markets.
- Go-To-Market Execution: In partnership with Marketing and Country leads, plan and execute multi-channel campaigns and initiatives to drive adoption in new markets, ensuring alignment with local consumer preferences and behaviors.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Establish KPIs for international growth, track progress, and provide actionable insights to optimize strategy and execution.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and empower a team of Country Managers, providing strategic direction, support, and resources to drive market success.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with teams across Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Customer Support to align efforts from the multilingual initiative and ensure seamless market entry, product market fit and language accessibility.
- Localization & Cultural Adaptation: Oversee content, UX, and product localization efforts to ensure an authentic and seamless experience for users across different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
- Customer Insights & Research: Analyze regional user behavior and leverage data analytics to tailor marketing and growth strategies for each target market. Identify and push for market research when needed.
- Performance Marketing & Demand Generation: Collaborate with the performance marketing team to optimize paid media, SEO, and organic growth strategies for international audiences.
- Product & UX Collaboration: Work closely with product teams to ensure international user feedback is incorporated into product development and feature rollouts.
- Revenue & Monetization: Support the product team to develop monetization strategies customized to international market dynamics and customer willingness to pay. Push for the right price point based on each market’s realities and competitive landscape.
- Partnerships & Alliances: Support the Influencer, Affiliates and Business Development teams to develop strategies tailored to specific local market dynamics.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years working with multiple markets, including Europe. Desirable experience working with Latam countries.
- Managerial experience with remote teams spread out in multiple time zones
- Proven track record of leading international growth initiatives for a global SaaS or consumer technology company.
- Deep expertise in localization, international marketing, and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills with experience in analytics, user segmentation, and A/B testing.
- Hands-on experience with performance marketing, growth hacking, and demand generation.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills, with experience working across Product and Marketing teams.
- Deep understanding of global consumer behavior, market trends, and regional differences in digital adoption.
- Experience with multi-language SEO, content localization, and international UX best practices.

This role is eligible for hire in Germany & Netherlands.
We are a virtual-first company and have employees dispersed throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, and India. We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program and may be offered an equity award, benefits, and other types of compensation.

€105.000 - €141.000 EUR
In accordance with German law, the base salary for this role if filled within Germany is as follows. |
Germany Pay Range
€102.000 - €138.000 EUR
