Our Mission

Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition. 20% of U.S. global warming emissions come from homes (that’s more than cars!). The largest driver of home emissions is burning fossil fuels for heat. To accomplish the transition, over 80M U.S. homes need to shift from combustion to efficient, electric heat pumps in the coming decades.

We believe that for this to happen, the world needs fantastic products that are easy and desirable to purchase. Today’s heat pumps lack great design, make limited use of software, and are difficult and stressful to adopt. We are building the next generation, beautifully designed, AI-optimized home heating and cooling system that is 10x better than what’s on the market today. And we are making it easy to purchase and adopt by managing all sales, rebates, permitting, and installation for our customers.

Role

Quilt is hiring a driven, early-career Operations Associate to support our Central Operations team. This role will play a crucial part in enabling our operations to run and grow smoothly. 

You will work closely with our operations strategy and field operations teams to support customer installations, scale operations, and launch new markets. This role will allow you to work on a wide range of projects. You will manage and improve internal workflows, execute market launches on-the-ground, track operational data, and perform research to grow and optimize our operations.

This is a unique opportunity for someone early in their career to develop a strong foundation in operations while contributing to a company at the forefront of the clean energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Support the launch of new markets, from researching local code requirements to hands-on assistance during new market launches. 
• Coordinate projects to scale our operations in the Bay Area, such as growing our fleet. 
• Act as stand-in for processes that we haven’t hired a dedicated resource for yet, such as processing permits and customer rebates. 
• Assist in optimizing internal workflows and create documentation and training materials to enhance efficiency.
• Help collect and analyze key operational data, both manually and from software systems, to inform decision-making and improve operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (recent graduates are encouraged to apply) or equivalent work experience.
• First experience working in fast-paced work environments with a high bar for quality.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Hands-on mentality, and eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic skills in working with spreadsheets. 
• Flexible and willing to pivot between working with spreadsheets, partnering with field installers, and running to Home Depot for supplies as necessary.

This is a full-time position in our Redwood City office.

The expected salary range is $80,000 - $100,000 a year, depending on experience. In addition to base salary, Quilt also offers meaningful equity and top-tier benefits.
