Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst who will be responsible for financial reporting, data reconciliation and ad hoc analyses. In this role, you’ll focus on Payments FP&A, providing insights into revenue performance from transaction processing and track key performance metrics, as well as support the business with ad-hoc strategic analysis and reporting. You will report directly to the head of Corporate Development and Payments Finance, contributing to a team that helps drive informed financial decisions across the company. Key Responsibilities:
Payments FP&A:
- Analyze revenue from customer transaction processing, including trends, volume, take rates, and associated costs.
- Forecast payment-related metrics and track performance against targets.
- Support finance leadership with regular updates and insights around the payments business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Finance, Engineering, and Customer Success to understand key business drivers and ensure alignment between financial data and operational metrics.
- Partner with teams working on payment products initiatives.
Financial Reporting:
- Report Preparation: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, management reports, actual vs. budget analyses, and financial summaries.
- Dashboard Development: Assist in creating and maintaining financial dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Excel or Tableau, providing stakeholders with clear insights into key financial metrics.
- Data Cleansing: Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and ready for analysis and reporting.
Business Ad-Hoc Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis for one-off projects related to both the payments business and broader strategic company initiatives.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial data to assist the finance team, management, and other stakeholders in decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a financial analyst, investment banking, corporate finance, data analyst, or similar role with a focus on software or technology preferred
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Data Management: Familiarity with financial databases and data management techniques, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Reporting Tools: Experience with or willingness to learn financial reporting tools and software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Power BI, Tableau) for data visualization and reporting.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities within financial data.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to work with large data sets.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Organizational and Time Management Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with a systematic approach to managing financial data and reports.

Salary: $75-85k, depending on experience
