IT Manager
Position Summary
The IT Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and support, while also contributing to strategic initiatives that improve scalability and efficiency. This role is primarily tactical (80%), ensuring smooth operations across devices, networks, and applications, with a smaller focus (20%) on longer-term IT planning and integration. This role will eventually build an IT team, and the focus will shift away from tactical to supervisory.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Operations (Tactical Focus)
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring reliability and uptime of systems, devices, and networks.
- Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Maintain and support a mixed PC and Mac environment.
- Provide device management and end-user support for both remote and on-site employees (4 offices, ~30% remote workforce).
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to resolution.
- Support and optimize Slack as the company’s primary communication platform.
- Oversee IT ticketing ensuring appropriate SLAs are met and providing reports to senior leadership.
- Manage IT procurement, licensing, and vendor coordination.
Security & Compliance (Partnership)
- Work directly with the Director of Information Security on cybersecurity initiatives.
- Support compliance efforts with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., PCI and SOC2).
- Experience handling security incident responses
- Execute IT-related tasks required for security and compliance programs.
Strategic Contribution (20%)
- Provide input into IT roadmap and technology planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability, automation, and system efficiency.
- Partner with business leaders to align IT priorities with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft 365 administration and migrations.
- Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations.
- Windows and macOS environments.
- IT systems integration during acquisitions.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Google Workspace Administrator
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
- ITIL Foundation or PMP (a plus)

Salary: $90-110k + Bonus Opportunity
Location: On-site, Provo, Utah
