Strategic Finance Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Strategic Finance Manager who will be responsible for financial reporting, strategic planning, and ad hoc analyses. You will track key performance metrics and partner closely with Sales, Product, and Operations to provide leadership across the organization with visibility to make data-driven decisions. You will report directly to the VP of Corporate Development. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong financial acumen to join a high-impact team at a fast-growing company and create their own long-term career path.

Please note, this is an individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast KPIs and track performance against targets.
  • Own and lead reviews on regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, management reports, actual vs. budget analyses, and financial summaries.
  • Enhance existing financial processes and systems to streamline operations and improve data accuracy, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Product to understand key business drivers and ensure alignment between financial data and operational metrics.
  • Partner with key executive and leadership teams to identify and evaluate strategic initiatives, including business case development, ROI analysis, and other one-off projects.
  • Assist in due diligence process to assess new markets and M&A opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A or similar role with a focus on software or technology preferred but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities within financial data.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and concisely to senior executives.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a systematic approach to managing financial data and reports.

Salary: $110-120K plus annual bonus plan, depending on experience.
Work Location: Hybrid in NY-preferred, Option for remote-based in the USA.
