Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations, managing shipments, troubleshooting issues with carriers, and ensuring efficient transportation processes. This position plays a key role in maintaining service levels, resolving issues, and supporting various internal and external teams to ensure smooth logistics flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Operations:
    • Track, trace, and schedule all loads, troubleshooting carrier issues as they arise.
    • Ensure all shipments are appropriately updated in real time throughout the life cycle of the load.
    • Monitor and provide timely responses to internal and external emails and Slack communications.
    • Act as an escalation point for resolving issues that impact service or delivery.
  • Carrier and Vendor Management:
    • Maintain regular communication with carriers (small parcel, full truckload, LTL, intermodal, air freight) and third-party warehouses to ensure high service levels and prompt issue resolution.
    • Manage contract and spot rates for loads, secure appropriate capacity, and tender freight to carriers.
    • Negotiate rates with carriers as needed to ensure competitive pricing and timely service.
  • Operational Support:
    • Work with internal tools and escalate issues or process improvements as necessary.
    • Light weekend and after-hours work for tracking and resolution.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistics challenges.
  • Reporting and Claims Management:
    • Audit and reconcile invoices prior to payment by accounts payable.
    • Raise claims and other exception items as required, ensuring they are tracked and resolved.
    • Maintain data accuracy within internal tools and systems.
    • Work cross-functionally with departments to proactively communicate shipment details and exceptions.
  • Exception Handling:
    • Manage exceptions such as rescheduling, delays, and tracking shipments to final destinations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience managing logistics, preferably within a freight brokerage with a focus on truckload.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of transportation modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal, air freight).
    • Experience with rate negotiation and capacity management.
    • Proficiency in logistics software/tools and Microsoft Office.

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. Bonus eligibility varies by role and is determined based on the position’s impact and contribution to our strategic goals.

Pay Range

$55,000 - $65,000 USD
