THE ROLE: Head of Market – UK

We’re looking for a Head of Market – UK to serve as Quince’s business owner and country leader, responsible for launching and scaling our presence in the UK and broader Europe as we expand our international footprint. This is a high-impact, full-stack leadership role spanning go-to-market strategy, team building, operations, and full P&L ownership.

In this role, you will create a locally resonant customer experience while upholding Quince’s global brand promise: high quality, radically low prices, and responsible production. Success in this position means building a sustainable and scalable market presence—driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and strong local brand affinity.

You will report directly to the Head of International and collaborate cross-functionally across digital, supply chain, merchandising, marketing, and customer care to blend strategic vision with hands-on execution.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the General Manager for the UK, owning market strategy, full P&L responsibility, and end-to-end customer experience.

  • Localize and execute Quince’s international market playbook, adapting to UK/EU regulatory, operational, and consumer needs.

  • Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team across digital, marketing, logistics, merchandising, and customer experience—either directly or through matrixed leadership.

  • Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, optimizing key growth metrics such as LTV/CAC and payback periods.

  • Develop and oversee the country-specific business case, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.

  • Manage third-party partners and vendors across last-mile delivery, payments, returns, and other key operational functions.

  • Partner with HQ teams in product, engineering, and operations to localize the website, app, payments, and logistics experience for the UK and EU.

  • Lead merchandising and assortment strategies that reflect local preferences, seasonality, and performance data.

  • Serve as the internal advocate for UK and European customers, sharing insights to inform global product, marketing, and CX strategies.

  • Provide regular reporting, performance updates, and market insights to international leadership.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 15+ years of experience in general management, eCommerce, strategy, or operations roles.

  • Proven success launching or scaling a market or region from inception to maturity.

  • Deep understanding of the UK consumer landscape and eCommerce ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated P&L ownership, with strong financial acumen and business case development skills.

  • Experience leading and developing cross-functional or matrixed teams across geographies.

  • Familiarity with international eCommerce operations, including logistics, fulfillment, payments, returns, and customer experience.

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to attract, inspire, and retain top talent.

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic, and execution skills with a high bias for action.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a high-growth, digital-first, or consumer brand environment.

  • Background working across global or multinational teams.

  • Direct experience localizing eCommerce platforms, operations, or marketing strategies for new regions.

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.

Pay Range

£200,000 - £500,000 GBP
