Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.
Role Scope
We’re looking for an experienced and self-driven IT Engineer 3 to join our growing IT team. This role will be pivotal in maintaining and improving our office infrastructure, device management, security compliance, user onboarding/offboarding, and support operations as we scale globally. You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless IT operations and optimal employee experience.
Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Ensure uptime, reliability, and scalability of office IT infrastructure (WiFi, VPN, firewalls, conferencing systems, etc.).
- Monitor and manage hardware inventory, provisioning, and asset lifecycle.
- Oversee laptop provisioning through Apple Business Manager, JAMF, or equivalent tools.
Administer user accounts and access policies via Google Workspace and OKTA (or similar tools). - Coordinate IT setup for new office spaces or coworking locations, including network planning and vendor engagement.
Onboarding & Offboarding Automation
- Execute seamless employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning/deprovisioning access and assets.
- Work with stakeholders (People Ops, Security, Finance) to automate workflows using tools like OKTA, JumpCloud, Workato, etc.
Security, Compliance & Governance
- Enforce IT policies and compliance standards (asset tracking, patching, encryption, endpoint protection).
- Conduct periodic audits of devices and access to ensure governance and security best practices.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery operations as required.
End-User Support
- Respond to L2/L3 support escalations and assist the IT support team with issue triaging.
- Provide support for software issues (GSuite, Slack, Zoom, VPN, device configurations, etc.).
- Maintain documentation for processes, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in IT engineering or support roles in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency with MDM tools (e.g., JAMF, Intune, Kandji) and IAM platforms (e.g., OKTA, JumpCloud).
- Hands-on experience with office network setup: routers, switches, firewalls, VPN configuration.
- Experience with GSuite administration, including managing users, groups, and policies.
- Strong understanding of asset management and security practices (encryption, endpoint protection, patching).
- Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
