ABOUT QUINCE

Quince is a destination for builders, creators, innovators, and operators who want to come together and challenge the status quo. Our mission is simple: make really high quality essentials for really low prices, fairly and sustainably. We deliver on that mission through a unique manufacturer-to-consumer (M2C) model eliminating the layers of traditional retail that add cost and result in consumers paying more than they need to. We find, build relationships with, and work directly with the manufacturing partners behind some of the world’s finest products. From there, our teams design smart, efficient operational processes  and build and deploy proprietary technology, AI, and analytics to help us scale fast.

What began with a small assortment of elevated basics has quickly grown into a cross-category brand spanning apparel, accessories, home goods, and more. Today, tens of millions of people across a growing number of countries come – and return – to Quince because they trust us to deliver.

OUR CULTURE

Quince is a culture built for builders by builders. Our way of working starts with a blank sheet of paper. We question conventional thinking, use technology and data to uncover new opportunities, and move quickly to turn ideas into reality. We aren’t interested in replicating how others do retail. We’re building a better way – at a speed and scale unlike anything that’s been done before.

  • We dream big and chase the hard problems others shy away from. Rejecting long-held assumptions is part of our company's DNA.  Where conventional wisdom says you have to choose – soft or durable, speed or rigor, quality or price – we ask why that trade-off has to exist in the first place.
  • Our pace is fast and the bar is high because our customers expect a lot from us and we refuse to let them down. We believe the best results come from challenging ourselves, learning from one another, and building on each other's strengths.
  • Here, responsibility is not determined by role, tenure, or seniority. Every team member - no matter their level - has the opportunity to drive our business and shape our trajectory.

If you’re someone who likes to imagine new possibilities and build better systems rather than plug-in to outdated ones, Quince is the place for you.

THE ROLE

Director, Global Social Media

The Director of Social is a strategic operator and player-coach who treats organic social as a performance function, not a publishing function. This person will own the vision, strategy, team, and operating cadence for Quince's organic social channels, and will be energized rather than intimidated by weekly attribution to business outcomes. They have scaled social for a high-growth consumer brand, they know exactly what drives performance by platform, and they have the taste and judgment to raise the creative bar directly rather than only through delegation.

This is a builder's role. It is not a fit for someone who wants to inherit a finished playbook, manage from altitude, or measure success in impressions. The right candidate reads that as the pitch.

The Director, Global Social Media will report into Head of Brand Strategy & Narrative.

Responsibilities

  • Own the organic social strategy, vision, and channel architecture across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Lead, develop, and scale a team spanning social media management, content creation, and coordination
  • Own the weekly social business review, reporting performance against revenue, app installs, app store clicks, engagement rate, and reach to executive stakeholders
  • Build and operate a test-and-learn engine that identifies what drives performance by platform and reallocates effort accordingly
  • Scale the short-form video engine behind the brand's breakout channel growth while raising engagement across every platform
  • Set the content strategy across storytelling, education, and entertainment, shifting the mix from campaign imagery toward platform-native, humanizing content
  • Partner with Brand and Communications to ensure social expresses the company narrative with consistency and discipline
  • Partner with the Community function on UGC, engagement strategy, and community-led content moments
  • Own the social measurement and tooling stack, and continuously improve data integrity in how performance is captured and framed
  • Build proactive content operations so that every shoot, event, and office moment is treated as a content generation opportunity
  • Manage agency, freelance, and fractional partners supporting the function

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10-12+ years in social media with at least 3 years leading and developing teams
  • Proven track record of scaling organic social for a high-growth consumer brand, with results tied to business outcomes rather than vanity metrics
  • Deep fluency in social analytics and attribution, comfortable owning an executive-facing weekly performance review and defending the numbers in it
  • Expertise in short-form video strategy and platform-native content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • A strong point of view on what makes content perform, and the creative judgment to raise the bar across a team
  • Experience operating within a disciplined brand voice and narrative framework: culturally relevant without going off-message
  • Experience with social measurement and tooling stacks such as Dash Social or comparable platforms
  • Player-coach mentality: sets strategy at the executive level and steps into the work directly when the moment calls for it
  • Willingness to travel as needed for shoots, events, and content capture

All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
