Operations Manager, EU
ABOUT QUINCE
Quince is a destination for builders, creators, innovators, and operators who want to come together and challenge the status quo. Our mission is simple: make really high quality essentials for really low prices, fairly and sustainably. We deliver on that mission through a unique manufacturer-to-consumer (M2C) model eliminating the layers of traditional retail that add cost and result in consumers paying more than they need to. We find, build relationships with, and work directly with the manufacturing partners behind some of the world’s finest products. From there, our teams design smart, efficient operational processes and build and deploy proprietary technology, AI, and analytics to help us scale fast.
What began with a small assortment of elevated basics has quickly grown into a cross-category brand spanning apparel, accessories, home goods, and more. Today, tens of millions of people across a growing number of countries come – and return – to Quince because they trust us to deliver.
OUR CULTURE
Quince is a culture built for builders by builders. Our way of working starts with a blank sheet of paper. We question conventional thinking, use technology and data to uncover new opportunities, and move quickly to turn ideas into reality. We aren’t interested in replicating how others do retail. We’re building a better way – at a speed and scale unlike anything that’s been done before.
- We dream big and chase the hard problems others shy away from. Rejecting long-held assumptions is part of our company's DNA. Where conventional wisdom says you have to choose – soft or durable, speed or rigor, quality or price – we ask why that trade-off has to exist in the first place.
- Our pace is fast and the bar is high because our customers expect a lot from us and we refuse to let them down. We believe the best results come from challenging ourselves, learning from one another, and building on each other's strengths.
- Here, responsibility is not determined by role, tenure, or seniority. Every team member - no matter their level - has the opportunity to drive our business and shape our trajectory.
If you’re someone who likes to imagine new possibilities and build better systems rather than plug-in to outdated ones, Quince is the place for you.
About the Role
We're looking for a 3PL Operations Manager to own warehouse operations across our EU 3PL network, spanning multiple fulfillment centers and member states. You'll manage everything from customs clearance at entry into the EU through to outbound dispatch in each local market — coordinating across countries, languages, and regulatory regimes to keep warehouse operations fast, accurate, and cost-efficient as we scale across Europe.
What You'll Do
Warehouse & Fulfillment Operations
- Own day-to-day performance of 3PL partners across our EU fulfillment centers (e.g., Germany, Netherlands, Poland, France), ensuring consistent, accurate order processing across all sales channels
- Set, monitor, and enforce SLAs and KPIs — order accuracy, pick/pack turnaround, on-time dispatch, and delivery performance — at each warehouse and market
- Optimize outbound fulfillment processes (picking, packing, and dispatch turnaround) to match local operational expectations in each country served
- Coordinate inbound logistics with suppliers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs, including customs clearance at the point of entry into the EU and intra-EU stock movement under free circulation
Inventory & Continuous Improvement
- Balance inventory allocation across EU warehouses to minimize cross-border transfer delays and cost, partnering closely with supply chain and planning
- Investigate and resolve operational issues — mispicks, damaged goods, inventory discrepancies, customs holds — escalating to 3PL partners as needed
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost-per-order, improve delivery speed, and enhance the customer experience in each market
Systems & Reporting
- Partner with IT and operations to optimize WMS, OMS, and ERP systems and their integrations, including automation opportunities across multi-country operations
- Build reporting and dashboards to track fulfillment performance, cost trends, and SLA compliance by warehouse and country; turn data into actionable recommendations
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with customer service, supply chain, planning, and engineering teams — often across countries and time zones — to proactively resolve fulfillment challenges
- Serve as the operational point of contact for EU 3PL partners, including site visits across markets as needed
What You'll Bring
Required
- 5–8+ years managing 3PL providers and warehouse operations across multiple EU countries in a high-volume ecommerce or retail environment
- Strong background in inbound, outbound, and inventory control across multiple warehouse locations
- Solid grasp of fulfillment SLAs and KPIs (order accuracy, on-time dispatch/delivery, cost-per-order)
- Hands-on experience with WMS, OMS, and ERP platforms
- Strong analytical skills (Excel, SQL, or BI tools)
- Track record resolving operational issues — delays, mispicks, inventory discrepancies, customs holds
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable managing partners and stakeholders across countries, cultures, and time zones
Preferred
- Fluency in an additional European language beyond business English
- Experience negotiating 3PL contracts across multiple EU countries
- Background scaling operations in a fast-growing DTC or ecommerce environment
- Experience leading WMS/OMS integrations or fulfillment automation projects across multiple markets
- Familiarity with duty deferment accounts, bonded warehousing, or other EU import cost-reduction scheme
