Content Marketing/Social Media Manager

quip is a design-led oral health and wellness company that launched in 2015 and is on mission to change oral care habits from a have-to chore to a want-to ritual. quip creates bold, simple, design driven products that are backed by science and intuitive to use, which empower everyone to proactively make their mouth part of their daily wellness routine. 

We are seeking an action-oriented, passionate and strategic Content Marketing/Social Media Manager to join our integrated marketing team. 

In this role, you’ll act as quip’s ‘Features Editor.” You will be responsible for curating trends and driving content release strategy across channels with the eye on website, social media platforms, partner content programs and more. Leading the portfolio will be a strong focus on TikTok and Meta. You will also help to develop and oversee a newly created content creation and distribution capability ensuring that image, video, audio and text-based content is produced to the highest standards, is infused with quip’s tone and furthers brand goal to drives engaged consumers to shop and use quip products to further their oral wellness goals.

Base Salary: $85k-$105k

This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with our brand’s goals and engages our target audience effectively across blogs, web content, video hubs like YouTube and social media platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Quora and Pinterest. 
  • TikTok Leadership: Being that you’re a social media native, you’ll take ownership of our TikTok strategy and execution. Develop brand content, work closely with our influencer and earned media team on creator content and execute data-driven TikTok campaigns that grab attention, amplify memes and trends and boost brand visibility, interest and pass along. 
  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee the production of high-quality content including blog posts, website landing page educational, help and consumer solution content, video content, and social media updates across platforms. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, like agencies, agents, producers and creator/influencers to ensure content is aligned with brand and product messaging objectives.  Lead the strategy for content, create the calendar/themes/messages, develop the content and distribute it and measure success.  Rinse/repeat/have fun!
  • Agency and Team Oversight: Manage relationships with content creation agencies and oversee the content production process. You’ll ensure that external and internal partners deliver content that meets our brand personality and standards and adheres to project timelines and budgets.
  • Cross-Channel Coordination: Ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all digital content marketing channels. Integrate content strategies across blogs, web, video, and social media to create a cohesive brand experience that helps, informs and ultimately fosters relationships that help to sell quip to a wider audience.
  • Performance Analysis: The content marketing manager will monitor and analyze content performance using analytics tools and intake reporting from outside partners to provide colleagues and leadership with performance read-outs and recommendations. You will collaborate on establishing key metrics, assess the effectiveness of content strategies, and provide actionable insights to optimize future editorial programming.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You’re a self motivated practitioner. You’ll work closely with the CMO, Integrated Marketing Lead, PR,Creative, Influencer, CX and other team members to align content initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and business goals. Foster relationships with influencer/creators, partners, and stakeholders to enhance content reach and impact. 
  • Trend Monitoring: To further the operation of the content marketing program you’ll stay informed about content marketing, SEO and industry trends, as well as emerging technologies.  To keep ahead of the market for our quip consumer, you’ll be the lead eyes-and-ears of the oral care, personal health, beauty, wellness and design competitive landscape to keep our content strategies innovative and relevant and on-brand.  You’ll inspire and draw on your colleagues to be on the lookout for great ideas as well.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, with an editorial mindset and strong focus on social media best practices, particularly TikTok and Meta.
  • Knowledge of how to use distributed content and social media to drive eCommerce shopper traffic.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies.
  • Experience managing content creation agencies and production teams.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, public relations or a related field.
  • Experience with social media community management as well as DAM (digital asset management) and content management systems (CMS), video production and approval/comment tools, as well as analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions, as well as present to colleagues and leaders who are eager to learn from you.
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for staying on top of digital trends, creative trends and new technologies and best practices tactics.
