quip is a truly omni-channel business with strength in DTC, Retail, Amazon and Dental Professional DTC channels.

We are looking for a high-energy, strategic Business Development Representative to join our Professional Sales team.

In this role, you will be the "tip of the spear" in expanding the quip for Providers network. You will bridge the gap between our design-led consumer products and the professional dental community, helping dentists and hygienists integrate quip’s preventative platform into their practices to improve patient outcomes and practice loyalty.

Base salary (annual): $40,000 (fixed)

Commission: Commission-eligible role; on-target commission is $30,000 at 100% of goal (uncapped) - 

On-target earnings: $70,000 (base + on-target commission)

This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.  “Commission structure is subject to modification at the company’s discretion.”

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meeting & Discovery Generation: Drive revenue by booking qualified discovery calls and product demonstrations for the Strategic Account Manager team.
    • Use high volume outreach to execute a consistent, multi-channel cadence (email, phone, social) to engage dental professionals and corporate partners, converting cold interest into high value discovery calls.
    • Rigorously qualifying leads to ensure every meeting booked is a high value opportunity, maximizing the sales team’s impact by focusing on partners that fit quip’s long term growth goals.
    • Develop and test timely engagement hooks, from product launches to seasonal health trends, to turn cold leads into warm partnerships.
  • Data Research & CRM Management: Maintain meticulous records in HubSpot, utilizing data to identify market trends and territory opportunities.
    • Provide regular reporting and maintain dashboards for use internally and for senior management.
    • Take full ownership of the lead lifecycle in HubSpot, ensuring every interaction, contact detail, and lead source is logged with 100% accuracy.
    • Conduct regular database hygiene audits to remove duplicates, update stale contact information, and ensure the sales engine runs without friction.
  • Multi-Channel Cold Outreach: Initiate contact through high volume personalized outreach, including cold calls, emails, and social selling.
    • Conduct initial discovery calls to uncover pain points in a partner’s current oral care offerings and articulate how quip’s B2B solutions fill those gaps.
    • Develop and deliver specialized messaging that addresses the unique needs of dental professionals.
    • Partner closely with Strategic Account Managers to ensure a white glove transition for qualified leads, providing detailed notes and context to set the team up for a win.
  • Qualifying Net New Leads: Rigorously qualify prospects based on practice volume, digital adoption, and clinical needs to ensure a high quality pipeline.
    • Evaluate a practice’s current patient home care recommendations to identify how quip’s professional suite can improve patient compliance and oral health outcomes
    • Map out the decision making structure of each practice, ensuring you are connecting with the specific clinical champions (often Lead Hygienists or Associate Dentists) who drive product adoption.
    • Evaluate patient demographics and practice volume to qualify leads that offer the highest potential for subscription conversion and long term B2B partnership growth.
  • Messaging & A/B Testing: Continuously refine and test outreach scripts, email subject lines, and value propositions to optimize conversion rates.
    • Regularly analyze HubSpot data to identify which subject lines drive the highest open rates and which calls to action result in the most booked meetings.
    • Document recurring hurdles from the field and test new rebuttal scripts to effectively pivot conversations toward quip’s unique value.
    • Test different messaging styles across various channels (LinkedIn vs. Email vs. Phone) to determine the most effective hook for each platform

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an outbound sales or BDR role. Experience in MedTech, Dental, or SaaS is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate clinical value to healthcare professionals.
  • Resilience: A "hunter" mentality with the persistence to thrive in a high-volume outbound environment.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency with HubSpot, and modern sales intelligence tools.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
