About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical SEO Contractor to fill critical gaps in our current team capabilities: ongoing technical site health and strategic off-page visibility.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on continuous technical maintenance and executing crucial outreach strategies (AEO, Reddit, Link Building).

We seek a strategic thinker who can deliver maximum technical impact within a limited, dedicated time budget each week.

Key Responsibilities

The weekly effort (16 hours) will be dedicated primarily to the following core areas:

1. Technical SEO Maintenance (Core Weekly Focus)

You will own the ongoing health and optimization of our website's technical foundation, ensuring optimal performance for search engines.

  • Infrastructure Health: Continuous monitoring and optimization of site architecture, crawl budget, and indexation status.
  • Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues impacting site speed and Core Web Vitals (CWV).
  • Technical Audits: Regular technical audits to resolve structural issues, manage structured data, and maintain optimal internal linking.

2. Visibility & Strategic Outreach (Priority Gap)

You will drive critical strategies in close partnership with the Director of Content Marketing:

  • Topic Modeling: Conduct semantic keyword clustering and content gap analysis to inform the overall editorial calendar direction.
  • AEO & Featured Snippets: Implement strategies focused on optimizing content for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and securing high-value featured snippets and PAA boxes.
  • High-Authority Link Building: Develop and execute strategic outreach campaigns focused on acquiring relevant, high-quality backlinks.
  • Reddit & Community Strategy: Drive a proactive visibility "motion" within relevant subreddits to build organic brand authority and secure referral traffic.

3. Content Strategy Advisory (As Time Permits)

As time permits, you will advise the content team on efficiency and strategy, but you will not be responsible for content creation or directly managing content output velocity.

  • Efficiency Workflow: Advise on implementing and refining AI/automation tools (e.g., AirOps, workflow platforms) to accelerate research and content brief creation.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced Technical SEO Expertise: Proven ability to manage site architecture, diagnose Core Web Vitals issues, and work comfortably with industry-standard tools (GSC, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush).
  • Availability: Must be available for real-time collaboration during US Business Hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST).
  • Strategy Translation: Excellent ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, prioritized, and actionable strategies for the internal team.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Credit)

  • Niche Experience: Direct experience working within the Customer Experience (CX) or Agentic AI software space.
  • AirOps Proficiency: Direct experience leveraging the AirOps platform or similar specialized AI workflows.
