Here, consultants and technologists operate on the edge of innovation—supported by a culture that values craftsmanship, open collaboration, and technical expertise. If you’re looking for a place where you can innovate, solve complex problems, and build solutions that make a measurable impact, join us.

Quisitive is seeking an experienced Azure Coach to join our Azure Management Services team. This role combines deep Azure architecture expertise with hands-on operational leadership to help enterprise clients design, secure, optimize, and manage their cloud environments.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will work directly with customer executives, architects, and engineering teams to define cloud strategy, establish governance frameworks, modernize infrastructure, improve operational maturity, and ensure Azure environments remain secure, reliable, and cost effective. This is a highly technical consulting role requiring expertise in both cloud architecture and cloud operations.

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Do

Customer Advisory and Architecture

As an Azure Coach, you will serve as the primary technical advisor for customers leveraging Microsoft Azure to support critical business workloads. You will partner with IT leaders, architects, and engineering teams to design, optimize, secure, and operate enterprise-scale Azure environments while helping customers mature their cloud strategy and operational capabilities.

Azure Architecture and Governance

You will lead architecture discussions across Azure networking, identity, security, governance, and infrastructure services. This includes designing and reviewing solutions built on Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN connectivity, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Azure Storage, Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, and other core platform services. You will help customers establish Azure Landing Zones and governance frameworks using Management Groups, Azure Policy, and tagging strategies that support scalability, compliance, and operational consistency.

Azure Operations and Managed Services

Working closely with Quisitive's Azure Management Services team, you will provide technical leadership for managed customer environments by evaluating performance, reliability, security, and cost optimization opportunities. You will guide customers in adopting operational best practices through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery to improve visibility, resilience, and business continuity. You will also lead complex troubleshooting efforts, major incident reviews, root cause analysis, and operational improvement initiatives involving networking, identity, infrastructure, security, and platform services.

Security and Identity

A key part of the role is helping customers strengthen their security posture. You will advise on Microsoft Entra ID architecture, role-based access control (RBAC), Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Zero Trust principles while helping organizations implement governance and compliance controls across their Azure estate.

Automation and Platform Engineering

You will champion automation and platform engineering practices by promoting Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI. You will work with customers to develop automated deployment and operational processes using Azure DevOps and GitHub, enabling greater consistency, efficiency, and scalability across cloud environments.

Cloud Modernization

You will support modernization initiatives involving Azure-native and Platform-as-a-Service technologies such as Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Registry, Azure Data Factory, Azure App Service, Event Grid, and Service Bus. You will help customers select practical modernization approaches that improve scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Technical Leadership and Coaching

As a trusted advisor, you will conduct architecture assessments, Azure Well-Architected Framework reviews, cloud health reviews, executive briefings, and technical workshops, helping customers align Azure investments with business objectives. You will mentor consultants and engineers, contribute to operational standards and best practices, and help evolve Quisitive's Azure Management Services offerings, tools, templates, and runbooks.

What Makes You Successful

  • You can move comfortably between executive-level discussions and deep technical problem solving.
  • You understand both cloud architecture and the operational realities of supporting production environments.
  • You build trust quickly and provide clear, practical recommendations tied to customer priorities and business outcomes.
  • You enjoy coaching customers, engineers, and consultants to become more effective in Azure.
  • You take ownership of complex technical challenges and work collaboratively across delivery, security, support, and operations teams.
  • You can manage competing priorities while maintaining strong technical quality and customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale Azure solutions across networking, identity, security, governance, compute, storage, monitoring, and platform services.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience designing hybrid-cloud, multi-subscription, multi-region, and highly available architectures using technologies such as ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, private endpoints, load balancing, and DNS.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
  • Strong understanding of cloud operations, monitoring and observability, incident management, root cause analysis, change management, IT service management, and managed services delivery.
  • Experience leading customer-facing architecture engagements and communicating effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a Microsoft-focused consulting organization or systems integrator.
  • Experience delivering Azure managed services for enterprise customers.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
