Social Media Content Planner

Boston, MA

RA Capital Management is a multi-stage investment manager dedicated to evidence-based investing in public and private healthcare, life sciences, and planetary health companies. For more than 20 years, RA Capital creates and funds innovative companies, from private seed rounds to public follow-on financings, allowing management teams to drive value creation from inception through commercialization and beyond. RA Capital's knowledge engine is guided by our TechAtlas internal research division, and RA Ventures (RAven), RA Capital’s healthcare incubator, which offers entrepreneurs and innovators a collaborative and comprehensive platform to explore the novel and the re-imagined. RA Capital has more than 150 employees and over $10 billion in assets under management.

Great content can inspire real change. RA Capital is one of the world’s leading investors in biotechnology and planetary health solutions. We’re scientists, innovators and engineers who build and fund companies working on technologies that can transform the world. For over 20 years, we’ve invested in companies that turn breakthrough science into medicines that are now curing millions of people of their diseases - and we are just getting started. We have important stories to tell and news to share and we are building the team to do it.

We're seeking a scrappy and creative Social Media Content Creator to turbocharge our content production and help RA Capital earn an outsized share of voice in the biotech and planetary health spaces. The work we do saves lives, and we want the world to see why it matters, but we also want to have fun doing it. Think SNL writer’s room more than PBS documentaries (though those are great, too!). Through fun, entertaining and informative short-form content, graphics and animations we hope to light up social platforms and inspire constructive conversations. We take fun seriously even as we work on solving some of the world’s most serious problems.

Our ideal candidate knows viral loops and what it takes to earn subscribers and get the right kind of attention online through engaging visual content. They’ll know the ins-and-outs unique to current social platforms and track emerging platforms and ideas. They will help us shape culture with trend-setting, audience-focused content that drives brand awareness and fuels engagement with RA Capital properties and ideas.

We want the American public to be as hyped about science and biotechnology innovation as we are at RA Capital, and take pride in the role they play in helping create a healthier future (e.g. through their taxes, savings, and insurance premiums).

If the content you create can help us make biomedical innovation fun, real and personal; bring inspired science to life; and turn the American public into fans of biomedical innovation - let’s talk!

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
