Technology and Research Analyst

Role Overview

As a Technology and Research Analyst on our Information Technology (IT) team, you will play a critical role in managing and analyzing finance and healthcare related data while supporting technology-driven decision-making processes. You will work at the intersection of strategic initiatives, investment analysis, data analytics, and technology, leveraging tools such as AI workflow builders, strong understanding of LLMs, Tableau, SQL, Python and Databricks to deliver actionable insights. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to translate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Able to use the available AI tools like (Claude and ChatGPT) to build small to medium sized business solutions.
  • Organize and manage IT projects related to initiatives across business functions to deliver technology solutions.
  • Plan and execute technology projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Help evaluate and troubleshoot AI-powered tools and offerings
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows and team specific outcomes and/or business cases.
  • Analyze and visualize investment data using Tableau, SQL, and Databricks.
  • Translate technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical users.
  • Work on optimizing data pipelines and automating data workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing support for technology platforms and tools.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility in investment analysis processes.
  • Facilitate vendor evaluations and vendor management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong project management skills (30% of role) with experience in organizing and planning IT projects.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization and analytics using Tableau.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing proprietary and vendor data.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot data and system issues.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical business users.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with using AI and building agentic solutions

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the investment, finance, or fintech industry, preferred.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
  • Fluent in leveraging AI services such as Claude, ChatGPT, Retool/N8N, or any AI infused workflow tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based analytics solutions such as AWS,Google Cloud, Snowflake, or Databricks.

Working Hours & Environment

  • Hybrid schedule with flexibility based on business needs
  • Must be based in Boston and willing to work a hybrid schedule
