The Role
The Data Analyst Intern will support the Research Team by leveraging technical skills and tools to ingest, clean, and analyze datasets, helping generate insights that inform investment and research decisions. This role will report to the Director of Research.
We are looking for candidates who are excited to explore how AI can enhance their work. AI is transforming how we operate, and we are specifically seeking individuals who are proactive about experimenting with new tools, incorporating AI into workflows, and improving efficiency through automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with sourcing, collection, curation, and structuring of scientific and financial data to support research and competitive landscape analyses
- Pull data from a variety of sources, including internal databases, third-party platforms, and public datasets
- Support efforts to identify inefficiencies in workflows and contribute to process improvements, including automation initiatives
- Collaborate with members of the TechAtlas and Investment Teams to support analyses and summarize key findings
- Contribute to quantitative data analysis projects and assist in building dashboards and visualizations
- Explore and apply AI tools to improve data workflows, analysis, and research productivity
Education and Experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, computer science, data analytics, engineering, or a related field
- Prior internship experience, research experience, or relevant coursework in data analysis or programming
- Working knowledge of Python (e.g., pandas) and/or SQL
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, or similar) is a plus
- Interest in biotech, life sciences, or venture capital is preferred

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies, particularly AI-driven solutions
- Interest in identifying opportunities to automate and improve processes
Additional Requirements
- Must be based in the Boston area (no relocation provided)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be able to join us the week of June 1st and commit full-time for 10-12 weeks
Compensation & Internship Experience
This is a paid, hourly internship position. Compensation is competitive within the industry and commensurate with experience and level of study. Eligibility for additional benefits may vary based on the duration and structure of the internship.
