Cloud Architect, Sr. (Hybrid | DoD Top Secret)

Title: Senior Cloud Architect
Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid - be able to come into the office a couple of days a month)
Clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligible)

 About this role:

  • Rackner is seeking a Infrastructure as Code SME to work in cooperation with the DSO Platform Product Line Manager, the UP-Infrastructure Lead Engineer, and Pipeline Services to design, develop, and update a DevSecOps via Infrastructure as Code Platform.
  • The IaC SME will execute and ensure development in a consistent manner and provide support to customers to help develop software through CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications to UP hosted platforms.

We are seeking professionals with:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering field | 7+ years; contributing on a technical team for a software or IT project OR
  • B.S. in Information Technology, IT Management, Computer Information Systems | 10+ years; contributing on a technical team for a software or IT project.
  • 3+ years; providing technical guidance to more junior team members.
  • 2+ years; leading a technical team on a software or IT project with proven performance.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IASAE Level II within 90 days of contract award
  • CISSP(or within 30 days of active start date)

 What will make you successful:

  • 5+ years; Git | AWS Console and CLI | DevOps | Application containers 
  • 3+ years; IaaS/PaaS | Platform Engineering | Kubernetes | GitOps | IaC/CaC CI/CD Pipelines | Automated testing 
  • Modern programming Languages such as: Java, C#, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, Go, YAML
  • General Knowledge of how to use the following technologies to further development of a Platform: DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture | Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, and Flux | GitLab | Big Bang (Istio, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Prometheus, Kyverno, etc.) | Custom Helm Charts, Resource Definitions, Controllers, Operators | SOPS | DoDPKI, x.509, OIDC, SAML, SSO | RKE2

Nice to have:

  • M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering field and 10+ years of experience contributing on a technical team / M.S. in IT, ITM, / CIS | 15+ years of experience contributing to on a technical team.
  • 5+ years; providing technical guidance to more junior team members
  • 4+ years; leading a technical team on a software or IT project with proven performance
  • DoD 8570/8140 IASAE Level II at contract award

About the Program:

  • The Air Force Life Cycle Management/ Unified Platform is responsible for developing and sustaining a cloud-based platform that enables cyber operations across the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • UP provides USCYBERCOM Operational Forces a Joint cyber operations infrastructure enabling full- spectrum cyberspace operations at the operational through tactical levels of warfare as part of USCYBERCOM’s Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA).
  • Rackner will be working with UP to provide developer, engineering, and other resources to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of the DevSecOps Platform and Pipeline Services within the Infrastructure Value Stream.
