Salary: $140k-$170k
About this role:
- Rackner is seeking System Administrator that will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of an organization's computer systems.
- Ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and provide technical support to end-users.
We are seeking professionals with:
- 7+ years; conducting system administration or a related role.
- Supporting Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Administrating virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Oversee networking concepts and protocols.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications
What will make you successful:
- System Configuration and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software patches. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Security Management: Implement security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other cyber threats. Conduct regular security audits and apply patches and updates as needed.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up user accounts, and resolving connectivity problems.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data integrity and minimize downtime. Test backup systems regularly to ensure reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security.
- Automation and Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline system administration processes. Implement automation tools and scripts to improve efficiency.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support organizational goals and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
