ABOUT THE JOB

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager who doesn’t just keep the books clean - they build the systems, processes, and controls that scale with the business.

In this role, you’ll own the core accounting engine at RADAR: driving a fast, accurate month-end close, leveling up our financial infrastructure, and helping us get audit-ready for the first time. You’ll be at the center of how money moves through the company - from revenue and inventory to payments, systems, and reporting - with real influence on how we operate as we grow.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who likes to roll up their sleeves, spot inefficiencies, and turn “how it’s always been done” into something better. You’ll partner across the company, shape processes from the ground up, and help build a modern, scalable accounting function powered by tools like NetSuite, Bill.com, Brex, Rippling, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the month-end close - ensuring speed, accuracy, and zero surprises
  • Build and deliver clear, insightful financial reporting for leadership, including variance analysis and key business drivers and actionable insights for the business to improve operations and financial performance
  • Raise the bar on accounting quality, controls, and GAAP compliance across the board
  • Apply technical accounting expertise (ASC 606, ASC 842, etc.) to real-world business decisions
  • Manage Procure-to-Pay workflows end-to-end, ensuring clean data, strong controls, and smooth operations
  • Prepare and work through our first external audit with us
  • Design, document, and continuously improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
  • Own inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and in-transit inventory for our integrated hardware / software platform
  • Partner with external tax advisors and support income tax preparation
  • Support international expansion and the complexities that come with it
  • Work closely with the NetSuite team to stabilize, optimize, and expand our ERP capabilities
  • Lead, mentor, and elevate the accounting team - setting a high bar for quality and ownership
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Procurement, Growth, Operations, HR, Legal, Tax, IT, and Strategic Finance

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth tech environment
  • Strong command of US GAAP, month-end close, and operational accounting
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a similar modern ERP
  • Experience reviewing work and guiding others to high-quality output
  • You take ownership, move fast, and don’t wait to be told what to fix

Preferred:

  • Experience with Bill.com, Brex, Sphere, Rippling, and/or NetSuite
  • Background in public accounting or audit
  • Inventory or cost accounting experience
  • Exposure to international expansion
  • CPA
  • Experience in lean teams or startup environments

WHAT YOU'LL DO

In your first 30 days, you will:

  • Get up to speed on RADAR’s business, tech, and financial architecture
  • Learn our systems (NetSuite, Bill.com, Brex, Rippling, etc.) and current workflows
  • Dive into the close process, reconciliations, and reporting structure

In your first 60 days, you will:

  • Take ownership of key parts of the close and begin reviewing work
  • Identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies across close, inventory, and reporting
  • Start tightening documentation, controls, and SOPs

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Fully own the close process and deliver it with confidence and consistency
  • Ship meaningful improvements to inventory and reporting workflows
  • Establish strong review standards and elevate team output
  • Deliver measurable gains in data quality, controls, and reporting reliability

This list represents what we're ideally looking for, but everyone has unique strengths & weaknesses, and we hire for strength & potential, not lack of weakness.

Use of artificial intelligence or a LLM such as ChatGPT during the interview process will be grounds for rejection of your application process.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
