About the Role

This role is a 3-in-1 position spanning User Research, Marketing Activities, and Business Development, designed to help SGLang systematically understand its users, expand market visibility, and grow commercial impact.
You will work closely with engineering, data, and leadership teams, and engage directly with users, partners, and customers. This role requires strong execution, data sensitivity, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while wearing multiple hats.

Requirements

Must-Have
  • 2–3 years of experience in user research, marketing operations, business development, or finance front officeroles
  • Experience with B2B SaaS, developer tools, or finance front office environments (Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, PE, VC, Hedge Funds, etc.)
  • Experience organizing events (conferences, meetups, online events) or managing client / partner relationships
  • Ability to understand basic concepts of LLM inference frameworks and communicate effectively with engineers (no coding required)
  • Strong data sensitivity:
    • Understand what data matters for business decisions

    • Translate user feedback into data requirements

    • Combine qualitative insights with quantitative data

  • Strong communication skills and high execution ownership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Startup experience (Series A–C) with multi-hat responsibilities, or experience in high-intensity finance environments
  • Experience in lead generation, outbound outreach, partnership building, or basic sales workflows
  • Comfortable operating under ambiguity and shifting priorities

Responsibilities

User Research (Initial Focus · ~30%)
  • Design and execute 500+ user surveys

  • Conduct 10–15 in-depth user interviews

  • Write 3–5 user case studies

  • Synthesize insights to systematically understand user behavior, needs, and decision drivers

Marketing Activities & Community Operations (Ongoing · ~40%)
  • Organize conferences, meetups, tech talks, and user events
  • Manage and grow Discord / Slack communities
  • Organize online events and community programs
  • Coordinate content marketing initiatives including blog posts, case studies, and whitepapers
  • Co-host events and initiatives with cloud providers, hardware vendors, and ecosystem partners
Business Development (Ongoing · ~30%)
  • Identify and reach out to potential enterprise and strategic users
  • Build relationships with cloud providers, hardware vendors, and AI ecosystem partners
  • Proactively engage major customers to secure case study permissions and materials
Data Feedback & Insights (Across All Work)
  • Provide structured feedback to data engineers on what data to collect and prioritize
  • Share insights with team leads and leadership on user needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Combine qualitative insights (interviews, conversations) with quantitative data (surveys, metrics)
