About the role:
Raft is looking for a seasoned Scrum Master to join our team! You will be at the center of our agile delivery engine facilitating ceremonies, coaching teams, removing impediments, and continuously improving the development process across one of the most sensitive software programs in the federal government. You thrive in complex, multi-team environments and know how to translate agile principles into real-world execution within a government contracting context.
What you'll do:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies ,sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for one or more agile delivery teams
- Coach development teams, product owners, and stakeholders on agile values, Scrum principles, and continuous improvement practices
- Identify, track, and drive resolution of impediments that affect team velocity, delivery quality, or morale
- Support program-level planning and coordination with the Program Manager, architects, and Government stakeholders
- Maintain and report on sprint metrics, velocity trends, and delivery health to program leadership
- Partner with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is refined, prioritized, and actionable ahead of each sprint
- Champion DevSecOps practices and support the integration of security and quality gates into the team's definition of done
- Assist in tailoring agile processes to meet Government reporting, CDRL, and compliance requirements without compromising team agility
What we are looking for:
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required at time of award and maintained throughout the contract
- 10+ years of experience leading agile software development teams using Scrum, SAFe, or related frameworks
- Proven ability to facilitate agile ceremonies and coach both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Experience supporting agile delivery in a DoD or federal government contracting environment
- Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Must possess certifications IAW DoD Directive 8140.01 (Cyberspace Workforce Management) and DoD 8570.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program)
Highly preferred:
- CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent certification
- Experience working with distributed or hybrid teams across contractor and government sites
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps for backlog management and sprint tracking
- Background supporting large-scale enterprise software modernization programs
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret security clearance
Work Type:
- Hybrid; minimum 2 days a week required on-site presence
- Key Personnel must be available to begin work no later than 30 days after contract award
