What this role is about:
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Community Manager to lead the growth, development, and engagement of Community, RapidSOS’s online platform for engaging 911 and public safety professionals. This role focuses on fostering a dynamic online community for RapidSOS , building meaningful connections among members, and supporting public safety professionals through collaboration and innovation.
As the Community Manager, you will oversee key initiatives, coordinate cross-functional events and resources, and manage the relationship with our platform partner. Your expertise in community building, innovative and creative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and project management capabilities will drive member engagement and ensure the platform delivers exceptional value to its users.
What you’ll do:
- Innovation and Strategic Vision: Generate creative ideas to enhance the user experience, establish Community as a go-to resource for public safety professionals, and anticipate future needs with proactive strategies.
- Community Growth and Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to grow and engage the community, foster participation through initiatives like webinars and campaigns, and track performance metrics to inform leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the community and RapidSOS, collaborate on valuable content and resources, and recognize engaged members through rewards and programs.
- Project Management: Manage community communications, oversee the content calendar, and partner with the platform vendor to optimize the user experience and support growth.
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
- 7+ Years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3+ years of managing online communities during high-growth phases.
- Proactive self-starter who can push through ambiguity and drive momentum toward important goals.
- Comfortable analyzing quantitative and qualitative signals to understand performance and make informed adjustments.
- Skilled at rallying cross-functional teams toward shared goals and fostering alignment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail.

Starting pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience, relevant skills, training, education, location, business needs, or market demands. The salary range for this role is $130,000- $150,000. This role will also be eligible to receive equity options.
