IT Project Manager

Raye IT Consulting is looking for an exceptional IT Project Manager to support a U.S. Government agency. 

As Project Manager, you will perform agile project management activities for high profile programs and projects. You will have the opportunity to use a combination of technical capabilities, a consultancy mindset, agile process methodologies, and proven project management skills to manage programs and lead teams delivering solutions to clients.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Managing programs, ensuring contractual obligations and margin goals are met while providing an outstanding client experience that will lead to contract renewals and expansions  
  • Providing oversight and program direction to account teams that are delivering services to our clients  
  • Successfully develop and execute project plans, track deliverables, and document client acceptance of deliverables following a PMI Project Management approach 
  • Identify, track, mitigate, and report on risks to delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction  
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Identify and communicate dependencies between projects  
  • Maintain situational awareness of day-to-day activities on the ground • Build credibility through effective communication and solutioning  
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to support a coordinated response in serving the client • Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement  
  • Communicate effectively with government personnel and interface with C- level leadership 
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels, contractor management, management oversight, service level agreements, and other performance requirements  
  • Demonstration of adequate foresight into program planning by identifying problems, providing sufficient information on alternative solutions and impacts minimizing said impacts to the program to the government’s satisfaction  
  • Demonstration of improving processes through training, as well as ensuring deliverables are timely and accurate to minimize the need for government intervention to avoid degradation of mission during critical times, while ensuring notification of significant problems to the appropriate government personnel  
  • Managing and monitoring burn rates  
  • Must be located within a 50-mile radius of Washington DC. A maximum of 2 days of tele-work a week.  

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience where you have demonstrated success in scheduling, budgeting, and resolving risks and issues 
  • Experience delivering software, data, infrastructure and/or cloud technology projects 
  • Excel in clarifying requirements, expectations, and priorities across multiple stakeholders, bringing alignment and order to the program 
  • Ability to ask probing questions to uncover information needed to understand program and project status and determine logical course of action 
  • Understand technology-related issues and how they might impact successful delivery 
  • Strong written communication 
  • Strong presentation skills and diplomacy skills 
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures, team skills 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
