Product Manager I

Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India. 

We are a full-stack financial services organisation, committed to helping Indian businesses with comprehensive and innovative payment and business banking solutions built over robust technology to address the entire length and breadth of the payment and banking journey for any business. Over the past year, we've disbursed loans worth millions of dollars in loans to thousands of businesses. In parallel, Razorpay is reimagining how businesses manage money by simplifying business banking (via Razorpay X) and enabling capital availability for businesses (via Razorpay Capital). 

The Role

The POS market in India is experiencing rapid growth, with projections reaching $2B, fueled by increasing digitalization and the push towards cashless transactions. Razorpay aims to lead in POS innovation and distribution by leveraging its extensive offline expertise and strategic partnerships, bolstered by the acquisition of Ezetap Mobile Solutions in 2022. This role involves understanding customer pain points regarding in-store POS systems, partners and the competitive landscape, including players like Pine Labs, Mswipe and Paytm. Key responsibilities include staying attuned to market trends, developing a strategic roadmap to surpass current market leaders, and implementing this roadmap to deliver significant value to businesses of all sizes. Driving sustained engagement and growth in terms of net revenue and active users is essential to our success.

Responsibilities

  • Devise Product Strategy: Define both long term strategy and quarterly roadmap to achieve the product vision and create impact. 
  • Conceptualize new solutions: Product Conceptualization with a problem first, data-driven and test & iterate approach. Ensures conceptualization from a platform and a long-term view. Ensures value-based prioritization of product initiatives. 
  • Build products: Collaborate with Engineering and Design to build products that customers love. Produce high-quality product specifications and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver products and features on time. 
  • Launch products: Draft and execute a go-to-market plan in conjunction with Product Marketing. Be the internal and external authority and advocate for your given area of focus.
  • Stakeholder Management: Working with senior management in Razorpay in defining the strategy for Core Banking Unit and collaborating with internal and external teams (banks & partners) to bring the strategy into reality

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • You understand technology, but love customer-first & business-first thinking.
  • You are an energetic self-starter with the ability to work independently in a competitive and fast-paced environment.
  • You are curious about metrics, execution processes, and macro trends.
  • You have an analytical and data-driven approach to day-to-day work.
  • Problem-solving and detail orientation come naturally to you.
  • You have a strong product sense and have experience building 0-1 products.
  • You have at least 2 year of experience in Product Management.
