Associate Director - Product Strategy

Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
We are a full-stack financial services organisation, committed to helping Indian businesses with comprehensive and innovative payment and business banking solutions built over robust technology to address the entire length and breadth of the payment and banking journey for any business. Over the past year, we've disbursed loans worth millions of dollars in loans to thousands of businesses. In parallel, Razorpay is reimagining how businesses manage money by simplifying business banking (via Razorpay X) and enabling capital availability for businesses (via Razorpay Capital).
Job Role: Associate Director & Head of Product Strategy
Roles and Responsibilities
Work with Product Leadership to deliver on long term & short term business & product strategy (build, new product lines, market research, competitive benchmarking etc)
New opportunity identification
- Identify new initiatives and build investment thesis on Razorpay’s foray into them
- Deep dive into long term strategy of existing portfolio of products including build, GTM, and PMF/scale up plan
Own horizontal mission programs e2e
- Own critical horizontal themes and conceptualize horizontal programs across the portfolio eg: Experience, Compliance, GTM excellence, AI.
- Champion product leadership across the org and partner with folks across the organization to achieve the success of the programs.
Investor Relations
- All things investor updates on product function, deep dives & demos
Leadership
- Build & operate with a lean team of 3 to 4 high-agency Strategy champions who act as internal consultants
- Communicate verbally & in writing across the org to inspire & influence the larger org.
- Demonstrate high agency & boundaryless attitude.
Execution rituals & governance
- Own & drive long-range planning in key areas
- Own & drive annual strategic planning
- Enable the org in setting annual & quarterly OKRs & milestones
- Identify & solve challenges structurally to help achieve OKRs
- Setup processes to drive execution excellence within & across BUs
Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong & structured problem-solving skills in ambiguous and unstructured problems
- Zoom in and zoom out of the problem quickly across a large breadth of problems
- Ability to wear multiple hats - strategic thinker, program executor, and operator
- Strong stakeholder management skills across functions & hierarchies, Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to build rapport with senior leaders/CXOs
- Solid written & verbal communication
- High agency & Strong bias-for-action
- Previous experience in Tier 1 Consulting/CEO’s office/Chief of Staff/Corporate Strategy/Product roles
- At least 8-10 years of experience doing high-quality IC work and managing teams
- Fintech/Payments/Neobanking industry experience is good to have - not mandatory
