Manager - Chief of Staff
Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
The Role:
The role is about CoS to GM and VP at RazorpayX, contributing to around 20% of the org revenue.
Drive decision-making, program management, and implementation of various organisation-level initiatives.
Help in establishing organisation’s roadmap, implement strategy, and oversee development.
Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators and metrics assigned to direct report.
Build the framework for annual planning of the business org and accordingly align stakeholders and drive the planning execution.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Decision Support
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner, driving strategic initiatives across X and Razorpay
- Work across different business units (Payroll, Neobanking and Capital) to shape priorities, objectives, and actionable recommendations
- Ensure seamless execution of organizational goals (e.g., profitability, SaaS growth, talent structuring)
- Role is going to be research heavy on understanding outside in information and working with the leader on latest trends such as AI, future banking etc
- Project and Process Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of critical cross-functional projects (e.g., leadership transitions, new product bets, cross functional collaboration)
- Implement mechanisms to streamline workflows, optimize business reviews, and enhance team collaboration
- Communication and Alignment
- Serve as a conduit between you and senior stakeholders to foster alignment across functions, reducing friction between Product, Engineering, and Sales
- Draft and present high-level reports, meeting briefs, and actionable insights tailored to business priorities
- Leadership Team Enablement
- Manage executive meetings to ensure focused decision-making, follow-ups, and accountability
- Work on key projects across the organization and drive end to end outcomes
- Problem Solving & Risk Management
- Identify and address risks proactively in areas like EBITDA improvement or product pivots
Mandatory Qualifications:
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, or related field (required)
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline (highly preferred)
Experience
- Must-Have:
- 6+ years of experience, with a mix of strategic consulting, operations, or leadership roles
- Proven track record of scaling businesses or driving organizational change in fast-paced environments (e.g., startup scaling, corporate card development, subvention scaling)
- Good-to-Have:
- Fintech or SaaS exposure and familiarity with banking processes or AI-based product management
Skills
- Must-Have:
- Excellent leadership, organizational design, and decision-making acumen
- Proficiency in driving cross-functional initiatives and executive-level communication
- Good-to-Have:
- Data-driven analysis (SQL, dashboards, financial modeling) and experience with tools like Tableau, Jira, or OKR platforms
- Understanding of tools like AI, research platforms etc to drive efficiency for the leader and the org
- Experience in navigating regulatory environments and partnership development (e.g., banking tie-ups, Swiggy-level partnerships).
- Forward-looking mindset to innovate in areas like SaaS growth and tier-2 city expansions.
