Job Description: Senior Manager - Management Information Systems (MIS) & Data Analytics

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager of Management Information Systems (MIS) & Data Analytics to lead our team in providing actionable insights and driving

data-informed decisions. This role encompasses strategic MIS management, advanced data analytics, effective people management, and the responsibility of managing other managers. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record of developing and implementing data strategies, building high-performing teams, and delivering impactful results.

Responsibilities:

  1. MIS Management & Strategy:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive MIS strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
    • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of robust MIS systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems to enhance data collection, processing, and reporting capabilities.
    • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of management information reports and dashboards.
    • Manage and optimize data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
    • Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures.

        2. Data Analytics & Insights:

    • Lead the development and execution of advanced data analytics projects, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data mining.
    • Identify and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Develop and maintain data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
    • Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
    • Perform deep dive analysis into data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

        3. People Management & Leadership:

    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data analysts and MIS professionals
    • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
    • Identify and address training and development needs of team members.
    • Manage team resources and workload effectively.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
    • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to direct report managers.
    • Ensure alignment of goals and objectives across teams.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between teams.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of direct report managers and their teams.
    • Handle escalations and resolve complex issues that arise within the teams.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making for the department.

 

Qualifications:

    • Education: Any Bachelor's degree

    • Experience:
      • Minimum 10 years of experience in an MIS, data analysis, or related role.
      • Proven experience in data management, reporting, and analysis.
      • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
      • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).

    • Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent data management and reporting skills.
      • Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
      • Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Strong documentation skills.
