Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
The Role:
As Director of Solutions Consulting, you’ll be the architect of Razorpay’s enterprise success, blending technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership to drive revenue and innovation. You’ll lead high-impact solutions for key enterprise and midmarket clients, mentor a team of consultants, and shape the future of fintech by solving complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Acceleration
- Partner with Enterprise Sales to design winning strategies for high-value deals, RFPs, and custom solutions.
- Translate client pain points into differentiated fintech solutions, leveraging Razorpay’s product suite (APIs, banking, payments) and external ecosystems.
- Champion thought leadership by identifying market and industry trends, influencing product roadmaps, and driving vertical-specific innovations.
Solution Design & Execution
- Lead end-to-end solutioning: discovery workshops, technical demonstrations, and ROI-driven proposals for C-suite stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to build scalable solutions (core product enhancements or custom integrations).
- Own post-sale handoff to Customer Success, Services, ensuring seamless deployment and adoption.
Team Building & Mentorship
- Grow and groom a high-performing team of Solutions Consultants, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and client obsession.
- Drive career development through coaching, skill-building, and exposure to complex enterprise challenges.
Cross-Functional Influence
- Act as the voice of the customer to Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams, shaping roadmaps and GTM strategies.
- Streamline processes for solution delivery, from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with Razorpay’s growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in Solutions Consulting, Pre-Sales, or Technical Sales, with 3+ years leading teams in fintech, SaaS, or enterprise software.
- Deep payments/fintech expertise: Hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, and complex deployments (e.g., ERP, banking systems).
- Consultative mindset: Proven ability to uncover hidden needs, challenge status quo, and craft compelling value narratives.
- Executive presence: Masterful storyteller with experience presenting to C-level stakeholders and negotiating multi-year contracts.
- Technical chops: Engineering degree (CS/IT preferred) + MBA or equivalent strategic/business acumen.
- Startup/scaling experience in high-growth environments are preferred.
- Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), payments (PCI DSS), or agile methodologies.
