About Corp Engineering

Corp Engineering is a newly created function at Razorpay that will redefine how internal tools and employee-facing products are built. We will build the products that every Razorpay employee touches daily: HR ticketing, performance management, interview tooling, employee onboarding, internal search. If it makes life better for people inside Razorpay, we build it. We operate with a lean, AI-native approach where small teams ship fast and own what they build.

Our customers are every single Razorpay employee. You ship something in the morning and hear about it at lunch. The feedback loop is measured in hours, not quarters. That speed of learning is hard to find anywhere else.

About the Role

This is one of Razorpay’s first true full-stack builder roles. You won’t just write code. You’ll own the entire lifecycle from talking to the person who has the problem, to designing the solution, to shipping it and making sure it actually works. You are the PM, the frontend engineer, and the backend engineer, rolled into one. You partner directly with HR, Talent Acquisition, and other teams to build products that thousands of employees use every day.

This role is AI-native. You use LLMs and agentic workflows as core parts of how you build, not as a side experiment. You write prompts as naturally as you write code. You ship at a pace that would typically need an entire squad. You are a one-person team who drives progress relentlessly and independently.

What You’ll Build

  • An internal employee platform: a single destination for everything an employee needs at work. Think HR self-service, smart onboarding, people directory, AI-assisted query resolution, and manager tools, all in one place
  • Interview environments: purpose-built platforms where candidates work through real scenario-based problems that test agency and problem solving, not just DSA on a whiteboard
  • Performance management: goal setting, review cycles, calibration dashboards, and tooling that helps managers actually manage
  • Internal search: every employee deserves instant access to the right information — policy docs, people, past decisions, Drive files. You’ll build the experience that makes that possible.
  • Employee experience products: onboarding workflows, pulse surveys, request management, and self-service HR tools

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–6 years of software engineering experience with strong skills across frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (Python/Django, Ruby/Ruby on Rails/Go)
  • You’ve shipped products end-to-end before, from talking to users all the way to production deployment and monitoring
  • Strong product instinct. You can sit with a stakeholder, figure out the real problem, and build the right thing without waiting for a spec
  • AI-native mindset. You use LLMs and agentic tools daily to write, debug, and ship code. You also build AI into the products you create
  • Security awareness. These tools will handle sensitive employee data: performance reviews, compensation, personal information. You understand secure coding practices, data access controls, and why this matters
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), caching (Redis), messaging queues, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
  • Bias for action. You prefer shipping over perfecting and iterate quickly based on feedback from colleagues down the hall
