Razorpay is one of India’s leading full-stack financial technology companies, powering the way businesses move, manage, and grow money. Founded in 2014 by Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar with a simple vision - to simplify payments for Indian businesses - we’ve since grown into a fintech powerhouse driving India’s digital payment revolution.
Razorpay powers millions of businesses with a smarter, scalable stack that goes beyond transactions to help them truly build and grow.
From building AI-native agentic payments, to AI-assisted fraud detection and real-time risk intelligence to automated reconciliation, smart payouts, and predictive financial insights, we are embedding intelligence across our stack to make money movement faster, safer, and more efficient. In close collaboration with ecosystem partners - including banks, networks, regulators - we are pioneering industry-first solutions that are shaping the next era of fintech
Across India, Singapore and Malaysia, our products span everything from seamless checkouts to payroll automation - powering a fintech ecosystem that’s redefining how money moves across Asia.
Today, that ecosystem supports everyone from early-stage startups to some of India’s largest enterprises, enabling them to accept, process, and disburse payments at scale while expanding into new ways of managing money more efficiently.
Our scale speaks volumes: Razorpay processes $180+ billion in annualized transactions, powering leading businesses like Airbnb, Facebook, WhatsApp, Airtel, CRED, BookmyShow, Zomato, Swiggy, Lenskart, Mirae Asset Capital markets, Indian Oil, National Pension Scheme - and over 100 of India’s unicorns. We are backed by global investors including GIC, Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA), Tiger Global, Ribbit Capital, Matrix Partners, MasterCard, and Salesforce Ventures, having raised over $740 million to date. Strategic acquisitions - including Ezetap (POS and offline payments), Curlec (Malaysia expansion), BillMe (digital invoicing), and POP (rewards-first UPI) - along with earlier moves in fraud prevention, payroll, and lending, have further strengthened our platform and widened our footprint across Asia.
But what truly sets Razorpay apart is our culture. At Razorpay, ownership is our oxygen - you own what you build, with no micromanagement or red tape, just the runway to make your ideas fly. Learning is a lifestyle - if you’re curious, you’ll feel at home here. People > Pedigree - we hire for attitude, hustle, and hunger more than degrees. Transparency thrives over titles - this is where interns question CXOs and CXOs say “thank you.” Guided by our values of Customer First, Autonomy & Ownership, Agility with Integrity, Transparency, Challenging the status quo and a strong belief that Razorpay grows with Razors, you’ll be part of a 3000+ strong team building not just products, but the financial infrastructure of the future.
About the Role:
Solutions Consultants at Razorpay are the linchpin of our enterprise sales team. In this US-shift role, you will be the technical and strategic partner to our Cross-Border (CB) sales team based out of US, focused on enabling US-based businesses to accept and collect payments from Indian customers and businesses. You will bridge the gap between complex cross-border payment challenges and Razorpay's solutions — spanning Indian payment methods, FX settlement into US accounts, regulatory compliance, and reconciliation.
This is not a traditional pre-sales role. It's a chance to be a change leader and a revenue catalyst at the intersection of India's growing digital economy and US market demand. You'll be the voice of the US merchant to our product team, the trusted expert alongside our CB sales team, and the go-to advisor for US businesses navigating the complexities of collecting payments from India.
What matters most is strong problem-solving ability, consultative instincts, and the drive to deeply understand a high-growth domain.
What You'll Do
- Own Cross-Border Solutions for US Merchants: Serve as the primary solutions partner for US-based businesses looking to accept payments from Indian customers, importers, and enterprises. You will architect end-to-end cross-border payment flows — covering Indian payment method acceptance (UPI, cards, netbanking, wallets), FX conversion, settlement into US bank accounts, and reconciliation — tailored to the specific operational and compliance needs of US-facing merchants. You will operate in the US time zone, engaging directly with merchant finance, product, and operations teams during US business hours.
- Solve Big Problems: Work closely with our CB enterprise sales team to understand customer business goals, challenges, and technical pain points. You'll architect solutions that address their most complex payment problems — from integrating Indian payment rails into a US merchant's checkout flow, to managing settlement latency and currency risk. In-depth understanding of Razorpay's CB product suite is essential; a willingness to ramp up quickly is equally valued.
- Craft Strategic Narratives: Create and deliver compelling presentations, detailed solution documents, and business proposals. You'll translate complex concepts — Indian payment method penetration, RBI outward remittance regulations, FX rates, settlement timelines — into clear, executive-level narratives that demonstrate Razorpay's unique value and quantify business impact for the US merchant.
- Drive Revenue: Act as a critical enabler for our CB enterprise sales pipeline. You'll lead technical discussions, build compelling solution demonstrations, and author detailed RFP responses for major deals. Your ability to communicate complex India-specific payment dynamics to US-based finance and technology teams will directly influence our revenue attainment goals.
- Be a Cross-Border Domain Expert: Drive the strategic viewpoint of the CB organization on specific US merchant verticals (e.g., US e-commerce platforms selling to India, US SaaS companies with Indian subscriber bases, US educational institutions, gaming companies). Use your knowledge of Indian consumer payment behaviour, regulatory frameworks governing outward remittances, and cross-border settlement dynamics to shape solutions that solve systemic problems for US merchants operating in the Indian market.
- Connect the Dots: Collaborate with CB sales, product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end process — from solution design to successful deployment. You'll be the go-to resource for connecting Razorpay's cross-border technology to real-world business value for US merchants collecting from India.
- Champion Knowledge: Contribute to our internal knowledge base on cross-border use cases, US merchant profiles, and India payment flows. Foster a culture of expertise by mentoring peers and authoring documentation that elevates the entire CB solutions team.
What We're Looking For
- Problem Solver: Proven creative problem-solving ability with a track record of leading and delivering full-lifecycle projects. You can demonstrate how to turn complex, multi-party challenges — whether in payments, enterprise software, consulting, or any B2B domain — into clear, actionable solutions.
- Domain Background: 2–3 years of experience in payments, fintech, enterprise SaaS, consulting, or a solutions/sales-related role. Fintech or cross-border payments experience is a strong plus, but not a dealbreaker — we value learning agility and consultative instincts. Candidates from B2B SaaS, international trade, enterprise software, or management consulting backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Cross-Border & India Payment Awareness: Exposure to Indian payment systems (UPI, card networks, netbanking), outward remittance regulations, or international settlement flows is a significant advantage. For candidates without direct CB experience, we expect curiosity about India's payment landscape, comfort navigating regulatory complexity, and a structured approach to learning the domain quickly.
- Technical Practitioner: Hands-on experience with technology is important. You should be comfortable with APIs, technical definitions, and stitching together solutions across different platforms and partner ecosystems. Leverage AI to build & win complex deals
- US Shift Readiness: This role requires you to work in the US time zone (evening IST / US business hours) on a regular basis. You should be comfortable with async-first communication, independent decision-making, and engaging US-based merchant stakeholders. Proactive communication and reliability across time zones are non-negotiable.
- Enterprise Advisor: Demonstrated expertise in providing advisory and guidance on large enterprise deployments and complex technical integrations, with a history of identifying and converting additional business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Influential Communicator: Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. You have a proven ability to create and deliver technical and business-focused presentations that influence US-based finance, operations, or C-suite audiences — especially when explaining India-specific nuances in an accessible way.
- Documentation Finesse: Established ability to craft compelling presentations, solution documents, and RFP responses that tell a clear story and drive decisions.
Education: An engineering background with an MBA is preferred, but not mandatory. What matters is the ability to think analytically, communicate credibly with both technical and business audiences, and own outcomes end-to-end.
