Platform Operations Specialist

Position Summary:

RCX Sports is experiencing an explosive phase of growth, expanding its impact on youth sports across the country and into new international markets. Through a platform-driven approach, we empower a growing network of League Operators to deliver safe, organized, and—most importantly—fun recreational league experiences across NFL FLAG, MLS GO, Jr. NBA Leagues, NHL Street, and emerging pilot programs. Our evolving platform model is designed to provide League Operators with the resources, training, technology, and support they need to enhance and expand the youth sports experience at scale.

The Platform Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in optimizing cross-functional collaboration and driving operational efficiency across key platform functions. This role will provide hands-on support in scoping projects, tracking progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring that initiatives launch on time, within budget, and with measurable outcomes. Acting as a central liaison between Growth, League Success Management, Program Management, Marketing, and Tech teams, the specialist will streamline workflows, enhance communication, and translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies that fuel growth and improve customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in business operations, project management, and data analysis. They should be adept at problem-solving, removing blockers, and driving execution in a complex, high-impact environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive Cross-functional Alignment: Lead and coordinate efforts across Growth, LSM, Program Management, Marketing, and Tech teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables. Facilitate communication between departments to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Growth Hacking & Experimentation: Spearhead the design and execution of growth-oriented experiments aimed at improving customer acquisition, retention, and multi-sport upselling. Work closely with teams to test new strategies, analyze results, and refine tactics to accelerate growth.
  • Data Analysis & Insights Generation: Analyze data from experiments, customer interactions (both from League Success and Customer Service), and market trends to extract actionable insights. Provide recommendations for optimizing processes and refining strategies based on the learnings from tests and experiments.
  • Problem-Solving & Blocker Removal: Lead brainstorming sessions to identify and address key challenges or blockers impacting the Growth and LSM teams broadly and per Program. Implement solutions to improve efficiency and drive progress across departments.
  • Product Roadmap Support: Partner with the Product and UX teams to gather data, conduct research, and define business requirements that help shape the product roadmap to meet League Operator needs. Ensure that product development aligns with League Operator feedback and the company's growth objectives.
  • Project Management & Efficiency Optimization: Manage multiple projects, ensuring critical timelines are met and resources are allocated effectively. Identify internal inefficiencies and implement strategies to streamline processes, enabling teams to launch new concepts and scale operations.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Keep teams aligned and informed, maintaining momentum on key initiatives without the need for constant meetings. Regularly update stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities to keep projects on track.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Required Experience (At least 4 years):
    • Business Operations or Strategy: A background in business operations, process optimization, or strategy development is essential to streamline workflows, implement automation, and drive operational efficiencies.
    • Project Management: Strong background in managing cross-functional projects and working with multiple go-to-market and or tech departments to execute on business objectives.
    • Data Analysis & Insights Generation: Experience in analyzing data, identifying trends, and turning insights into actionable strategies.
  • Preferred Experience
    • Sales & Account Management: Prior experience in sales operations, account management, or customer success is a bonus for understanding customer needs, driving retention, and identifying upsell opportunities.
    • Collaboration Systems: Prior experience with collaboration tools such as Notion, Slack, Asana, Jira, Confluence and or Microsoft SharePoint preferred

Additional Position Details:

  • Travel: Less than 10%
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (Occasional nights and weekends as needed)
  • Work Location: Remote
  • Compensation: Starting salary range $82,000/year-$87,000/year, salaried exempt, paid semi-monthly
  • Reports to: Melissa Kandrach
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None
