Baseball & Softball Coordinator, Events

Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Baseball & Softball, the Baseball & Softball Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating operational efforts for MLB’s Pitch, Hit & Run property events. A successful Individual in this role is someone who will work well on a team and under pressure. You are driven, organized, detail-oriented, and have an all-in attitude to support the advancement of youth sports throughout the country.
What you’ll do:
- Assist event managers and RCX Sports Events department leadership with all facets of event operations including but not limited to, coordination and shipping of event materials, producing and distributing travel coordination plans and event itineraries, and preparation of event materials with a primary focus on supporting the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run program
- Act as the coordinator for on-site MLB Pitch, Hit & Run and other RCX Sports program events and provide support as the primary point of contact for RCX Sports while organizing on-site operational efforts
- Collaborate with RCX Sports Events management team to manage the coordination of event staff, interns, and volunteers during all RCX Sports events
- Act as a primary stakeholder in the Events inventory process to ensure each event is properly equipped to provide elite experiences for RCX Sports Events attendees
- Assist with events registration, Email inbox management, to provide timely and efficient support for RCX Sports customers
- Prepare and analyze data around RCX Sports events properties and provide finalized reports to RCX Sports management and executive teams
- Assist with conceptualization of event integrations and collaboratively with internal partners to execute key initiatives
- Routinely move event materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds
- Provide support with additional responsibilities and special projects related to the advancement of RCX Sports Events properties as assigned
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (required)
- Available to work on weekends or travel based on event dates
- Strong understanding of youth baseball and softball landscape (preferred)
- Working knowledge and prior background in event operations with a professional or collegiate baseball or softball team (preferred)
- Former experience as a college athlete or coach (preferred)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to build authentic, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to critically think under pressure with documented experience in processing multiple tasks requiring multiple systems and varying deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Initiative-taking and driven professional mindset with a passion for the enhancement of youth sports across the country
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, G-Suite: Google Sheets, Slides and Docs, etc.
- Passion for collaboratively working in a team environment
More about the role (Additional Position Details):
- Travel: 65% of the time or more
- Work Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday with frequent weekends and some nights required.
- Work Location: Hybrid – Roswell, GA or Sylvan Lake, MI – This position will regularly work at least 3 days per week on-site at the RCX Sports office in Roswell, GA or Sylvan Lake, MI (candidate preference) and may occasionally work from home.
- Compensation Structure: Full-time salary, OT Exempt, expected starting salary range $48,000 - $52,000/year, eligible for annual discretionary bonus based on personal and company performance.
