Development Coordinator - RCX Sports Foundation
RCX Sports Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation committed to providing children in local communities with access to sports. We believe in the power of sport to build character, foster teamwork, and instill discipline, all while providing a sense of community. Our mission is to make sports accessible to all children by providing programming to positively impact youth sports, subsidizing fees for kids to play and providing financial assistance to league operators to ensure they can offer these opportunities.
The Development Coordinator role will support and enhance our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role plays a critical part in securing the financial resources necessary to support the Foundation’s mission of providing accessible, youth-focused sports programming across underserved communities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Development Manager in executing fundraising initiatives and donor engagement strategies.
- Assist with research and preparation of grant applications by gathering background information and drafting supporting materials.
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising events such as golf tournaments, raffles, and silent auctions, including venue booking, registration, and vendor communication.
- Maintain donor records and track contributions, communications, and event participation using fundraising platforms like GiveButter.
- Generate and send tax acknowledgment letters and donation receipts.
- Collaborate with internal teams (such as Partnerships and Events) to ensure alignment and support in securing sponsorships or in-kind donations.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing reports, scheduling meetings, and tracking deadlines.
- Assist with communications related to donor engagement, including email outreach, thank-you letters, and social media support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of fundraising activities and events.
What you’ll bring (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required (related work experience may not replace the degree requirement).
- 1 year of experience in a sports club, league, or nonprofit organization.
- Experience with fundraising or community engagement events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Passion for advancing equity and access for underserved youth through sports.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders (youth, parents, schools, sponsors).
- Willingness to learn fundraising platforms and techniques.
More about the role (Additional Position Details):
- Travel: Up to 30% of the time.
- Work Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday with some weekends required.
- Location: Hybrid (Roswell, GA) – We anticipate this role will work approximately 2 days per week in the RCX Sports Office in Roswell, GA.
- Reports To: Development Manager, RCX Sports Foundation
- Compensation: Expected starting salary is $45,000/year salaried non-exempt (OT-Eligible). Our pay grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus & benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, 401(k), Paid Parental Leave, Unlimited PTO, Monthly Wellness Expense Reimbursement and additional voluntary benefits.
