Customer Service Representative - RCX Sports Foundation (Part-Time)
RCX Sports Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation committed to providing children in local communities with access to sports. We believe in the power of sport to build character, foster teamwork, and instill discipline, all while providing a sense of community. Our mission is to make sports accessible to all children by providing programming to positively impact youth sports, subsidizing fees for kids to play and providing financial assistance to league operators to ensure they can offer these opportunities.
As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, you will be available to answer questions, resolve issues, and escalate high priority concerns to League Operations and Customer Service management. A successful person in this role will focus on exemplary customer service on the phone and via email to help our customers while ensuring prompt problem resolution for internal and external customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a world-class customer experience for all RCX Sports Foundation customers by promptly responding to incoming phone calls and emails
- Serve as the first point of contact for a customer’s inquiring about youth sports league merchandise and equipment inquiries
- Complete customer requests to process returns, refunds, and fulfill corrected orders ensuring a great customer experience
- Assist RCX Sports League Operations and League Growth and Strategy departments with inbound and outbound communication supporting volunteer coach recruitment, team registrations, merchandise concerns, customer surveys responses, and regular customer concerns
- Escalate high priority concerns to customer service or league operations leadership
- Utilize resources to proactively reach out to customers as needed to provide resources, information, and guidance to ensure they stay on a path towards success
- Perform additional league operations merchandise functions supporting the RCX Sports Foundation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service or customer call center experience preferred
- Excellent effective communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to build authentic, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to develop and foster key relationships with customers
Additional Position Details:
- Travel: None
- Work Schedule: Expected to work roughly 20-29 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, between 8:30am and 3:30pm ET. Hours and schedule may vary based on the needs of the operation and are flexible.
- Compensation Structure: $18.00/hour, Part-Time, Hourly, paid-weekly.
- Location: Onsite, Sylvan Lake, MI - This role will work in-office at least 3 days per week during peak seasons
- Reports to: League Operations Manager – RCX Sports Foundation
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None
