About the role:

The Operations team at Reach Financial works cross-functionally to drive strategic and tactical projects that move the needle for the organization. The Director of Operations will play a vital role within this department, directly managing a dynamic team while also leading strategic efforts to scale, automate, and maintain operational excellence by creating scalable processes, tools, and frameworks.

We are looking for a strong critical thinker and problem solver who can own and improve upon key operational processes that have substantial impact on Reach’s operational efficiency and ability to scale, while also leveraging data to inform key business decisions for the organization moving forward. 

This role reports to our Vice President of Operations.

What you will do:

Leadership and Operations Management:

  • Support the VP of Operations and other senior leaders in organizational planning to execute an operational strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies, build strategies to optimize, and seek opportunities to support growth throughout Reach Financial.
  • Own existing processes/initiatives through ongoing analysis and project management.
  • Establish systems and actions necessary to monitor, report, and communicate overall performance, execution, and key results.
  • Continuously monitor and improve upon core business KPIs and other key reporting; collaborate with other departments to gather necessary feedback to ensure alignment on data output.
  • Help design and manage A/B tests; work with analysts on data-backed recommendations to help make strategic business decisions.
  • Provide regular operational support to the organization by providing reporting, process, and tool usage guidance to resolve day-to-day challenges.
  • Contribute to driving standardization and best practice sharing across the organization.

Team Management:

  • Directly manage team of operations specialists and analysts in executing ongoing day-to-day processes and projects
  • Set clear expectations for each role and member of the team, including monitoring and coaching performance based on reporting and key metrics
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, providing clear feedback and guidance on performance goals and opportunities

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 4+ years of experience in an operations, management consulting, or similar role in fast-paced, dynamic environments such as high-growth startup or consulting firm
  • Strong project management skills; ability to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, manage multiple requests across cross-functional project teams, set timelines, take follow up action, and communicate results
  • Demonstrated problem solver who can break down complex problems and translate high-level goals into actionable plans
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience creating reports and leveraging data to help make informed business decisions
  • Proficient in Tableau
  • Advanced Excel skillset

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in and/or knowledge of the FinTech landscape
  • Experience in Salesforce
  • Proficient in Python and/or SQL
