Investment Intern (Summer 2027)

As an Investment Intern at Readystate Asset Management, you will gain exposure to a variety of investment styles and asset classes including convertible bonds, corporate bonds, equities, and options. We foster a culture of learning for all team members from interns to seasoned professionals. The internship will provide an opportunity to gain understanding across all aspects of our investments and business including portfolio management, trading, risk, operations, technology, and marketing.   

Job Responsibilities: 

• Conducting fundamental due diligence on existing and potential investments 
• Financial modeling and quantitative assessments of investments 
• Idea generation and screening for investment opportunities 
• Execution of ad hoc projects in collaboration with other team members 

Qualifications:

• A passion for investing and learning about financial markets and fundamental analysis 
• Strong communications skills and the ability to organize and condense unstructured information into a coherent investment thesis 
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to think differently and take initiative  
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
• Finance and accounting background are helpful but not required

• Basic valuation of corporate bonds, convertible bonds, options and equities 
• Critical thinking and fundamental analysis skills 
• Market microstructure for the various markets we transact in 
• Excel and Bloomberg skills 
• Exposure to the inner workings of a hedge fund – investing, marketing, operations, technology, and risk
