Who we are looking for
We are looking for a skilled and meticulous Press Brake Setup & Operator –Sheet Metal Fabricator with strong CNC press brake and CNC cutting experience to join our team. This role focuses on crafting detailed metal components through cutting, bending, and shaping materials with specific tolerances. Ideal candidate has experience with CNC bending machines, routers, laser cutters, or turret presses and thrives in a diverse product environment. Welding is not the core responsibility of this position.
What you get to do
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to fabricate precision sheet metal components.
- Operate and set up CNC press brakes to bend and form sheet metal parts to specification.
- Operate CNC cutters (laser, router, turret punch, etc.) for accurate part cutting and hole features.
- Perform precise layout, bending, punching, forming, and notching operations.
- Select and install proper tooling, adjust machine settings, and verify first-piece quality.
- Conduct in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality, and production staff to resolve fabrication issues and improve processes.
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and work area in proper working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized environment.
What you bring to the Team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
- 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience with CNC press brake and CNC cutting equipment or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to set up and operate CNC press brakes (tool selection, back gauge setup, programming, and adjustments).
- Familiarity with operating CNC routers, lasers, or turret punches.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
- Experience with a variety of metals (aluminum, stainless steel, cold rolled steel, etc.).
- Strong understanding of fabrication principles, setups, and tooling.
- Comfortable using ERP systems and digital work instructions.
- Welding knowledge a plus, but not the primary focus of this role.
- Forklift and crane operation experience preferred.
Pay Range: $22-$33/hr depending on experience
