Do you have experience as a Battery Pack Plant Manager building and leading a high-production facility from the ground up? In this role, you’ll be instrumental in standing up an innovative manufacturing operation—establishing critical supply chain partnerships, designing the production organization, and hiring and developing a high-performing team. Once operational, you’ll take charge of day-to-day activities across a fast-paced, high-output environment. You’ll also develop and drive operational strategies to support rapid volume growth and drive continuous improvement across the plant. Success in this role demands a hands-on leadership approach, a deep understanding of embedded partner manufacturing, and fluency in Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.

This is a unique opportunity for a highly impactful role where you can take initiative and solve complex problems in a high growth, collaborative atmosphere. Our Plant Manager will work closely with supply chain, engineering, quality, and Lean teams.

What you get to do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to establish and scale a battery pack manufacturing facility, aligning with corporate objectives and industry standard processes.
  • Facility & Equipment Setup: Oversee facility buildout, procurement of manufacturing equipment, and implementation of production lines.
  • Process Development: Design and implement advanced manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and quality control systems to ensure high-yield, cost-efficient production.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including production, quality, supply chain, and engineering personnel.
  • Supply Chain & Procurement: Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to establish a robust supply chain for key battery components, materials, and equipment, working closely with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and reliability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes align with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  • Financial & Budget Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, capital expenditures, and cost control measures to achieve financial targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, product development, and commercial teams to align manufacturing capabilities with market demands and product innovations.
  • Technology & Innovation: Stay at the forefront of emerging battery technologies and manufacturing advancements, positioning the organization as an industry leader.

What you bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, with a strong preference for aerospace & defense, automotive, battery pack production, or advanced electronics.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within an advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with facility startup, new product introduction, and production scale-up.
  • Deep understanding of lithium-ion battery manufacturing, pack assembly, and energy storage systems.
  • Expertise in automation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and talent development skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
  • Foundation and experience working in lean manufacturing
  • Experience working with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs in the EV or energy storage sector.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other quality management systems.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
