Who we are looking for

The Market Leader for the Re:Build Manufacturing Drone Thesis will be responsible for driving full-cycle business development and market growth initiatives. In search of an individual with strong problem-solving skills and deep manufacturing/engineering knowledge to analyze markets, competitors, and customers- with a focus on drones. This leader is responsible for finding opportunities, developing relationships, and taking charge of efforts to establish and expand our growth in our focus markets. This Market Leader will be a key member of the commercial leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive market-focused growth strategy that aligns with and contributes directly to our 5-year growth objectives. This role requires an agile and entrepreneurial leader with who can drive brand awareness, lead generation, pipeline growth, and new customer engagement at the Re:Build Manufacturing level in support of Re:Build’s drone thesis. The ideal candidate will have experience in and exposure to B2B, B2C, B2G, and models such as heavily-regulated hard tech, SaaS and dynamic, high-growth environments.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive market strategies that align with the organization's growth objectives and improve competitive positioning.
  • Drive end-to-end business growth initiatives, starting from prospect identification to deal closures, maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities to meet or surpass growth objectives.
  • Nurture and sustain positive relationships with key collaborators, including clients, partners, and industry influencers to encourage collaboration and fuel business growth.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics, informing strategic decisions and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted sales strategies and materials that effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of market initiatives.
  • Establish and track performance measures to evaluate the efficiency of business development efforts and market expansion projects.
  • Identify and evaluate new market segments, product opportunities, and potential partnerships to drive business growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and establish the company as a market leader.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive market plan that supports the company’s growth objectives and improves brand exposure in the industry.
  • Manage and be accountable for important measures to assess the efficiency of demand generation efforts and provide routine data-driven updates to the executive team.
  • Build and implement detailed expansion strategies to succeed in our desired markets and sub-markets in order to meet revenue goals.
  • Partner across commercial and with the member companies to identify new opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape insights.
  • Partner closely with business development, sales, revenue operations, and GMs to guarantee alignment and implementation of business strategies.
  • Establish and implement plans to expand Re:Build customer acquisition via multiple channels in key market segments with a focus on drones.
  • Support and implement overall commercial goals and go-to-market strategy.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, sales, or strategic roles specifically in the aerospace engineering and manufacturing sector.
  • Established history of crafting effective strategies that stimulate growth.
  • Strong understanding of integrated demand generation tools and techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-driven decisions and uncovering key insights.
  • Outstanding negotiation and closing skills, consistently achieving successful outcomes in securing high-value contracts.
  • Profound knowledge of the industrial sector, encompassing market trends and client requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
