Re:Build was founded to pioneer a profitable model for the revitalization of US manufacturing. We’ve assembled a powerful set of complimentary capabilities and lines of business that enable us to pursue a wide range of end markets. Our acquired businesses are grounded in build-to-print and by-the-hour engineering and design services, and we’re leveraging their combined expertise to migrate to increasingly sophisticated program development and production, as well as the generation of our own products. Our unique set of capabilities lend themselves to highly complex systems and products, and we offer customers a range of services including product and systems design, automation, fabrication, assembly, and large volume contract manufacturing. Our customers span a wide array of industries including aerospace, defense, mobility, healthcare, pharma, biotech, clean tech, chemicals, energy, lifestyle, food production, and industrial equipment.
Who we are looking for
Re:Build is hiring a Tax Manager position to oversee US Federal, state, local, and international tax compliance across Re:Build Manufacturing, LLC and its subsidiaries. While we will continue to leverage our external accounting firm for tax prep and specialized advisory, this internal resource will provide strategic oversight, ensure compliance consistency, and deliver significant cost savings (both consultant and risk mitigation).
An internal Tax Manager will develop a deep understanding of our business operations, revenue models, and product classifications. This individual will build relationships with site controllers and the operations teams to embed compliance into workflows, maintaining continuous oversight rather than periodic snapshots. The position will identify tax savings opportunities proactively, including incentives, exemptions, and credits specific to manufacturing, while providing real-time guidance during business decisions rather than retrospective analysis.
The Accounting Manager will serve as the day-to-day financial steward of multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards across jurisdictions. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with significant opportunity for professional growth as the company scales.
What you get to do!
- Sales & Use Tax - Systematize compliance across all entities to mitigate audit risk, including nexus studies and exemption certificate management
- Manage R&D tax credit studies
- M&A Support - Provide internal tax due diligence for targets
- Transfer Pricing - Maintain defensible documentation and policies to support international business and minimize exposure
- State & Local Compliance - Manage franchise, excise, and property tax obligations
- Vendor Management - Act as the primary gatekeeper for external accounting firms, ensuring outside resources are used only for specialized advisory needs
- This role will expand into increasingly complex fund-adjacent tax matters.
What you bring to the Team
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 4 years of experience
- CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
Additional Details:
- Location: Framingham, MA - Hybrid work week 3 days in / 2 days remote
- Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $104,000 - $145,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This role is also eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive compensation (LTIP), in addition to a competitive benefits package.
