Junior Customer Data Scientist
Recast is hiring a Junior Customer Data Scientist to help us build the future of media measurement. We’re looking for a self-starter who thrives in an independent work environment, takes initiative to solve problems, and is naturally curious. To be successful in this role, you’ll constantly seek out new information, explore innovative solutions, and prioritize action over waiting for direction.
What you'll do in your first 6 months:
- Develop, maintain and manage automated data pipelines in R
- Develop a deep understanding of Recast’s model to interpret results
- Perform ad-hoc data analyses and assist with presenting the results to clients
Things you probably have experience in:
- Using R for data cleaning and exploratory data analysis
- Basic statistical and experimental methods
- Presenting the results of analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- Using version control for collaboration (e.g. GitHub)
- Bayesian statistical modeling
Things that should excite you that might scare off other folks:
- Working with a team of math-loving statistics nerds in a fast-paced environment
- Exploring the output of a complex statistical model with over 30k parameters
- Opportunity for ownership in a fast-growing company at the cutting-edge of a multi-billion dollar industry
As a Junior Customer Data Scientist you will work with some of the world’s largest brands, helping them measure the effectiveness of hundreds of millions of dollars of marketing spend, forecast future performance, optimize budgets, and plan experiments.
Note: Recast is committed to building a diverse team so if you are from an under-represented background in tech (e.g., women, non-white, etc.) please apply even if you don’t necessarily check all of the boxes here.
While Recast is officially based in the US, we're a fully remote team (one founder lives in Brooklyn, the other in Mexico City).
