Sr. Product Manager
About Recast:

Our mission is to simplify the work of IT teams and enable them to create highly secure and compliant environments. Our software does this by seamlessly integrating with existing IT infrastructure to quickly remediate issues, ensure compliance, enhance security, and maintain clear visibility across all devices. Recast is a rapidly growing software company with its solution being used by thousands of enterprise organizations in more than 125 countries, impacting millions of devices and (more importantly) the people who use them.
About the Role:
Recast is looking for a Sr Product Manager to help shape the future of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), a strategically important market for the company.
You will own a meaningful product area and develop the customer, market, and business perspective needed to guide where Recast invests. Your work will influence how organizations package, deploy, update, secure, and govern applications, including the direction of Application Workspace, Right Click Tools Patching, and Recast’s broader ALM portfolio. The customers and users for these products are IT professionals responsible for managing applications, devices, security, and the employee technology experience.
Product Managers at Recast are accountable for defining customer problems and guiding investments that deliver meaningful customer outcomes. They partner closely with Engineering and Design throughout discovery, delivery, and post-launch learning to ensure investments create measurable customer value.
This is a highly autonomous role for a product leader who can create clarity from ambiguity, connect customer and market evidence to company strategy, and align teams around a compelling direction. You will lead through influence across Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and company leadership.
Success requires regular engagement with customers and prospects, strong product judgment, and clear storytelling. You will serve as a key connection between the North American market and the product team, helping ensure our ALM investments strengthen product-market fit and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
Understand the Market and Customers
- Develop deep expertise in the Application Lifecycle Management market, including customer needs, industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, and partners to ensure the voice of the customer informs product decisions.
Define Product Direction
- Synthesize customer, market, competitive, business, and technical inputs into a clear product strategy and compelling narrative for the Application Lifecycle Management portfolio.
- Create clarity where inputs conflict or the path is ambiguous, recommending investments and tradeoffs with a clear rationale, intended customer outcomes, and measurable success criteria.
- Influence quarterly and longer-range direction by aligning leaders and cross-functional partners around the highest-value opportunities for customers and the business.
Deliver Customer Outcomes
- Lead a Product Trio with Engineering and Design from discovery through delivery and post-launch learning, maintaining accountability for measurable customer outcomes and business value.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to connect product strategy, positioning, go-to-market activity, adoption, and customer value realization.
- Use customer feedback, market learning, and product usage insights to evaluate results, adapt direction, and improve the value customers realize from Recast’s investments.
What You’ve Done:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, including independent ownership of a meaningful product area in a complex B2B or enterprise software environment.
- A record of using customer, market, business, and technical evidence to shape product strategy, make investment tradeoffs, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience influencing executives and cross-functional teams through clear recommendations, strong narratives, and leadership without formal authority.
What Stands Out:
- Experience building products for IT professionals, such as endpoint administrators, application administrators, security teams, service desk teams, or other enterprise IT practitioners.
- Experience in endpoint management, application management, enterprise IT operations, device management, security, IT service management, or an adjacent technical market is especially valuable.
- Demonstrated ability to uncover important customer or market problems and translate evidence into a differentiated product direction.
- Strong strategic storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to make complex choices understandable and build alignment with varied audiences.
- The independence and judgment to make progress in ambiguous situations, challenge assumptions constructively, and recommend a path forward.
- Ability to quickly develop expertise in a technical market and become a trusted voice with customers, prospects, partners, and internal leaders.
What Good Looks Like:
- You are a trusted expert in the Application Lifecycle Management market and use that expertise to identify opportunities Recast should pursue.
- You create a clear, evidence-based product narrative that helps customers, leaders, and cross-functional teams understand where we are going and why.
- You independently turn ambiguous or conflicting inputs into well-reasoned recommendations, explicit tradeoffs, and aligned action.
- Roadmap investments clearly connect customer outcomes, business value, and strategic market opportunities, with success measured after launch.
- Your leadership raises the quality of product thinking, customer insight, and cross-functional decision-making beyond the initiatives you directly own.
Recast Product Management Operating Principles:
- Customer Grounded: Decisions start with real customer problems, validated through ongoing customer conversations, support data, and win/loss input.
- Measurable By Default: Work ships with a defined success metric. Outcomes are reviewed postlaunch, and initiatives that don’t move the needle are stopped.
- Ownership Without Ego: Product Managers own their capabilities end to end, from discovery through delivery and measurement, and do whatever work is required to make outcomes successful.
- AI-First Productivity: AI tools are used by default to accelerate research, synthesis, documentation, analysis, and planning so teams can focus on judgment and decision-making.
