Principal Technical Account Manager

We are looking for a highly accomplished intelligence and technical success professional known for strategic influence, operational depth, and customer advocacy. You excel in shaping long-term intelligence and platform success across large enterprises. You’re trusted by senior executives, and sought out as a subject matter expert and thought leader for your ability to align intelligence-led security outcomes with business objectives. You have outstanding business and technical acumen, are proficient in mapping highly complex threat intelligence concepts and outcomes to measurable risk reduction, and clearly articulate the ROI of intelligence platforms, services and capabilities.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the technical and strategic success of assigned customer accounts across their entire intelligence journey, from onboarding to renewal
  • Partner with customers to define and deliver intelligence-led outcomes using Recorded Future’s full suite of capabilities across the platform, integrations ecosystem and services portfolio
  • Proactively monitor and and act on advanced customer adoption, health and renewal risk signals including budget related constraints, competitive pressure, and loss of champion or stakeholder turnover
  • Lead executive and technical business reviews, presenting value realization metrics, maturity progression and intelligence-driven performance insights
  • Preempt customer needs and proactively identify growth opportunities to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and platform expansion
  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor for key enterprise and global accounts, collaborating with the customers SOC, CTI, engineering, GRC, threat hunting, vulnerability management and other security teams on configuration, data integration, and optimization
  • Design and execute strategic customer success and intelligence adoption plans that align business priorities with Recorded Future capabilities and measurable outcomes, in partnership with account directors and cross-functional Recorded Future teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product management, data science and intelligence teams to ensure a unified customer experience
  • Execute on the delivery of high-calibre bespoke intelligence advisory engagements, addressing emerging threats, collection priorities,  intelligence workflows, configuration and tuning, and strengthening of customer tradecraft and platform proficiency
  • Evangelise Recorded Future capabilities and serve as a trusted advocate and voice of the customer, influencing product roadmap and services alignment
  • Champion best practices and enablement frameworks across Recorded Futures global technical account manager community
  • Expertly manage multiple concurrent and competing priorities, while maintaining world-class levels of quality consistency at all times in alignment with organisational metrics and KPI’s
  • Maintain exemplary level of administrative rigor in Recorded Future systems of record, ensuring meaningful updates on successes, outcomes, customer sentiment, and detailed technical plans for at risk accounts and high impact issues.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of consulting, intelligence advisory leadership or other customer facing cyber threat intelligence, security operations or cyber advisory roles within enterprise or vendor settings. Deep experience across two or more key security related domains including intelligence, security operations, vulnerability management, GRC, threat hunting or incident response
  • Expertise: Outstanding understanding of intelligence principles, methodologies and tradecraft, intelligence operationalization within complex operational environments, and expert-level situational awareness of the broader threat landscape and security trends. Highly experienced with intelligence platforms, APIs, data feeds, security integrations (SIEM, TIP, SOAR etc), SaaS ecosystems and security architectures. Deep experience driving strategic value realization and retention in large-scale environments
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communications, innate attention to detail, proven ability to translate intelligence insights into actionable and measurable business and security outcomes, proficiency in communicating complex concepts to diverse technical and non-technical audiences up to and including the C-suite. Strong analytical, presentation and stakeholder management skills and proficient at public speaking
  • Customer Management: Proven success in account health management, risk mitigation, retention and growth. Experience in monitoring adoption metrics, usage trends and integration performance. 
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Intelligence Lifecycle, common security frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, Diamond Model and the Cyber Kill Chain. 
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or related experience in cyber security, computing science, intelligence studies or related field. Advanced certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GCTI, GCIH etc.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong leadership, influence and communication abilities at the C-suite level. Customer obsessed, fascinated by the adversary and boundless curiosity, adaptable, creative and proactive self-starter with a bias for action and passion for impact, consultative mindset, strategic communicator, collaborative team player, and outcome-driven professional who thrives in fast paced, dynamic, customer-facing environments. Excels in leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across technical and business teams
  • Location:  Ability to work from our Tokyo office
  • Language: Native Japanese and Conversational English
