Senior IT Operations Engineer

• Systems Administration: Manage, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure, including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Cloud/SharePoint.
• Endpoint and Mac Management: Oversee device management for Windows and macOS endpoints, leveraging Jamf for Mac administration and Intune for Windows management, ensuring security and compliance.
• Application and Cloud Support: Support SaaS applications, monitoring tools, security solutions, and enterprise collaboration platforms, ensuring optimal uptime and performance across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure.
• Network Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless access points, for both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Security and Compliance: Monitor and enhance security postures across cloud and on-premises systems, proactively addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with company policies. Oversee patch management using Automox to maintain system security and reliability.
• Process Automation: Develop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to streamline IT operations and improve efficiency.
• Audio Visual Administration: Manage and maintain AV systems, including Logitech conference room hardware, ensuring reliable performance across meeting spaces and supporting high-profile corporate events.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with IT Engineers to operationalize new solutions, create detailed runbooks, and ensure operational monitoring tools are effectively configured.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical growth.
• On-call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure timely responses to critical IT issues.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, systems administration, or related roles within enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Windows, macOS, and Linux administration, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and security.
• Experience managing Mac environments with Jamf and implementing device security and compliance policies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate IT processes and improve efficiency.
• Strong networking knowledge, including hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Experience managing AV systems, specifically Logitech conference room hardware, ensuring seamless collaboration experiences.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Working knowledge of storage solutions and protocols such as SMB and NFS.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective resolutions.
• Experience managing security and compliance initiatives across IT environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive IT initiatives forward.

At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is $119,000 to $145,000 (USD). You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity compensation, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
