  • Support pre-existing collaborations in concert with alliance management through ongoing contract interpretation; drafting amendments as needed; advising on contract compliance, including those provisions relating to data licenses and governance among partnerships

The Team You’ll Join

You will join a high-functioning team of expert lawyers, each working to advance the mission of Recursion. While the legal team members each have defined areas of expertise and support, they regularly connect to support each other in work and communication as well as professional development. Your role specifically will partner collaboratively with the Business Development team, which includes Alliance Management.  Both groups operate at a fast-pace with open lines of communication and transparent strategic imperatives.

The Experience You’ll Need

  • Substantial experience and demonstrated technical excellence in general corporate matters, issue spotting and resolution, analytical thinking, and steering cross-functional groups to consensus, including through unique, urgent situations where little precedent or guidance exists
  • The ability to provide timely, well-informed, practical risk-based advice that facilitates business decision-making in alignment with strategic objectives
  • Attention to detail, with excellent communication, analytical, and project management abilities
  • Accountable, dependable, and self-motivated for continuous improvement of company templates, policies, and processes
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage company environment, with the ability to work independently and apply good business and legal judgment in assessing compliance issues
