At Recursion, our mission is to industrialize and transform the development of medicines by integrating data-driven insights and analytics across the development lifecycle. As Associate Director, Asset Project Leadership, you will leverage advanced computational approaches and proprietary Recursion insights for the advancement of portfolio goals via asset in-licensing, partnering and creative development strategies. You will work closely with functional leaders across Clinical Development, Business Development, Platform and ClinTech to help craft, optimize and execute asset strategy. Ultimately, you will make significant contributions toward the advancement of transformative medicines for patients.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with functional leads across the BD and portfolio continuum to ensure seamless execution of data-driven in-licensing strategy.
- Leverage scientific acumen and diligence experience to refine and prioritize the most meaningful Recursion OS insights to ensure sourcing of unintuitive opportunities.
- Exploit your bilingual proficiency across science/tech to overcome inefficiencies in search & evaluation and asset due diligence.
- Propagate the Recursion mindset of decoding biology to radically change lives by constantly seeking transformative improvements in how we advance innovative concepts for clinical benefit.
- Drive and enable a culture of accountability, ownership and scientific innovation aimed at delivering prioritized medicines to patient populations in need.
The Team You’ll Join
Reporting to the Director, Asset Project Leadership, you will be an essential member of the Portfolio team. The Team is an empowered, execution-minded group of professionals whose role is at the interface of drug development, BD, strategy and operations and is central to the success of the asset portfolio.
The Experience You’ll Need
- PhD in life sciences or a related field.
- 5+ years of post-PhD experience in drug development within the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven ability to assess innovative opportunities, conduct diligence on assets, and evaluate disparate licensing substrate across disease areas, MOAs and therapeutic approaches.
- Deep technical expertise in oncology, with strength in immunology/inflammation and metabolism a bonus.
- Demonstrable experience in translational, regulatory, biomarker and early ClinDev strategy.
- Incisive thinker with exceptional ability to decipher scientific complexity
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills
Working Location & Compensation:
This is an office-based, hybrid role in our Salt Lake City or New York City offices. Employees are expected to work in the office at least 50% of the time.
At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is $180,600 to $229,000. You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity compensation, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
